343 should release player counts. Here's why.

I was doing a bit of digging on Halo 5s player count. Here’s what I came up with. By cross referencing the Xbox one chart for most played games with population counts of games we do know, I can make a pretty educated guess as to how many players are on Halo 5 during peak hours. Battlefield 1 and 4 are the main examples. Halo 5 is in between these two titles on the most played games list and a little closer to B1. B4 peaks at around 10k players daily and B1 peaks at around 30k. Using this information and knowing a little bit about decay functions (yay college statistics/calculus), I think it’s fairly accurate that H5 peaks at around 20k players daily. Let me know what you guys think below. Do you all think this is pretty close?

So why should 343 release player accounts again? You didn’t actually provide a “Why?”. Certainly, it’d be nice to know, but beyond that, I’m not certain what we stand to gain or lose from knowing.

Yeah I don’t see why that proves they need too. I see no advantage at all in knowing any player count for any game or playlist. Players should always just play what they want and enjoy. All seeing player counts is gives players a false sense of security really. They will tend to go to playlist with bigger numbers and not actually what they may want to play. We probably get a lot better player spread without them. But that is probably a close estimate in H5 player count over all.

I’m impartial either way but genuinely interested in your “why” as its not provided.

Feel free to discuss it in the population thread linked below.
