343 Should just give up on reach

They are wasting time and resources on reach a game that they can never make good because its broken in every way. They should just try to make halo 4 good. Its not like anyone plays reach anyways theres like 5ok people playing it everyday

Facepalm

Certain Affinity and Saber Interactive are doing everything while 343 works on Halo 4 -_-

> Its not like anyone plays reach anyways theres like 50k people playing it everyday

> 50k people playing it everyday

> 50k people

Apparently, 50k people are nobody these days.

  1. There are teams working on various projects. It isn’t like the whole of 343i is working on Halo: Reach. Assuming such is just stupid.

  2. There has been 328,657 unique players online in the last 24 hours, and a total of 610,889 games played. On a workday, at the start of a month, during the school year. I think that’s a sufficient enough number to keep working on Halo: Reach.

> 5ok people playing it everyday

I hope that’s an exaggeration. That’s down 30k since i last checked two weeks ago.

=/

Considering that Reach is the main Halo multiplayer portal for the next year, I would hope that they continue to devote at least some effort to the upkeep of it.

Also: Reach manages between 90 and 100 thousand most nights. That’s pretty damn good for a “broken” game.

OP, what exactly is the purpose of your thread? i’m having a hard time figuring it out, really. and why is this in the H4 section when it’s all about bashing Reach?

> They should just try to make halo 4 good.

i’m sure they will take that advice into account ASAP.

stop posting your crappy ideas dude! O_o

Soooo… what you’re saying is unless a game is the most popular thing online, the developers should just give up on it?

the only reason no one is playing reach is because its full of forge world maps and no ranked.

ugh, we are still with reach as a main halo game for another year, you are saying they should ditch the game, losing even more players in the process to make people excited for h4?

I find it funny how one of the best (Halo 2) dies (servers being shut down) and the worst (Reach) emerges. I can’t wait 'till Reach dies. That game should’ve never come out in the first place.

As much as I hate Reach, that would be one of the worst moves 343i could make.

Agreed. Reach is broken and there’s nothing 343 can do to fix it.

> Dude, it’s not 343’s fault. It’s Bungie who made this broken game. Why on earth would you be blaming the people that are trying to fix it? Oh yeah, cause you suck.

Do you realize that doing that would actually destroy halo Cea multiplayer you dumb -Yoink-

But they need to know how to apply updates, tweaks, and balances, to continue pleasing their fans.

> Do you realize that doing that would actually destroy halo Cea multiplayer you dumb -Yoink!-

343 is artificially propping up Reach multiplayer, by basing CEA off of it. 343 could have made CEA multiplayer a separate game engine, but Frank O’Connor admitted in one of the promo videos that 343 wanted to keep Reach going, and didn’t want to compete with Reach multiplayer. It was a purely corporate decision to help keep Reach from dying.

Agreed. But I do believe 343i is focusing most of their attention towards Halo 4 instead of Halo Reach. Further more Reach is the past, it had its problems we all know that. No need to bring them up, but Halo 4 is the next big Halo. I would think all attention should be focused towards making it as amazing as possible. Let’s learn from the mistakes and move on to the next step.

I mean, I can understand if they just said “we didn’t have the time nor the resources to devote to Anniverary multiplayer, because we’re busy with Halo 4”, and left it at that. But this whole spiritual “splitting the community” thing is just pure corporate BS meant to keep Reach alive.

That being said:

Reach multiplayer in CE:A sure as hell is not the game I wanted, but for now (thanks to the TU) it’s the game I need, and can possibly tolerate until Halo 4.
