343 Should Have Copied Unreal Tournament Instead Of Call of Duty

Movement is buns on Mnk . I’d rather no aim assist period. Pubg style

So basically you want infinite to be more 5?

Pal not everyone liked 5s mp and probably don’t want it back to that I get your point of view but I don’t think infinite is gonna revert to 5

I think power ups and power weapons were enough and I also think if the game needed something fun then the ablities offered just that. No need to rip them away and scatter them on the map

No I want it to make sense.

In real life if I had I gun I would run with it with one hand. I would also aim down sights. IDC about the lore when it comes to this. It just feels asthetically better and if I can’t have ADS then I want to at least have the type of scope that the camando has.

I make very specific points. To act like I’m asking for Halo 5 is not being genuine to the conversation

As someone in the military, saying you’d run with a gun using one hand really grinds my gears lmao

Always maintain positive control.

I’ve played Call of Duty. I’ve played Halo.

One is certainly not like the other.

Players who get enraged and scream at others to go back to playing Call of Duty seem to agree as well

Sprint and sliding I consider fine. Extra mobility is a necessary implementation in shooters this day and age, not just Halo or Call of Duty, unless people are really suggesting that Halo stick to its base, unchanging walking speed forever which would just seem sluggish and outdated this day and age and I find it rather dubious as to how equipment like Thrusters, Grappleshots, and Repulsors are in some way influenced solely by CoD when Halo 3 and Reach already had Power Drainers, Bubble Shields, and so on while CoD still had Flashbangs, C4, Bouncing Betties, and Radar Jammers. Hell, they wouldn’t even have exoskeletons/thrust jets until years after Reach with Advanced Warfare.

Zoom functions for unscoped weapons like ARs and Manglers were a natural progression to me, especially with how it helped them make them at least a bit more viable against the scoped weapons, especially with BRs no longer being the starter weapon in a lot of game modes which I for one prefer.

If I had to consider something as remotely influenced by CoD it’d be the loadouts, but the weapons themselves for those loadouts hardly feel like M4s or .50 Barrets or RPGs that you could carry around all willy nilly. And, as we can see, 343 has taken steps away from that.

These ‘Halo inspired by CoD’ claims have always been rather dubious to me and they remain as such.

Well, I mean isn’t the “asking for Halo 5” the short version or are you asking for Halo 5 2.0??? Or maybe a Halo 5 playlist?

We’ll pal sorry to say this but it won’t happen simplest solution is just go play 5 infinite won’t revert to 5 like at all it’s just what the game is shaping to be and my advice to get more used to what infinites doing hope on to the mcc for some training with that you can make infinite seem less scattered as you say

There’s a difference between and all out Sprint and tactically moving forward.

If you have no target and your objective is just to move then running with both your arms swinging is how you do better in your Sprint. Holding your arms in front of you would limit your Sprint

How many times do I have to repeat it.

The grapple can do the “thrust slide”. All in asking for it for that same move to come back for the thruster.

The pistol can use the scope like the camando has.

What else are you referring to that I want to be sooooo like Halo 5. I’m literally asking for things that can exsist without Halo 5.

You know that zoom that the pistol has now? It was in halo 5 with the AR and I hated it there too.

Soooooooo what are you on about?

I’m asking for a game that asthetically make sense as well as a game that is fair and balanced. You don’t have to make it like Halo 5 to do that

You’re just incorrect. That’s strictly a move/video game thing. Even when you’re sprinting, you maintain positive control.

That’s why you don’t run at the Ready position, you run aimed at the dirt with both hands on the gun, so you can easily raise it if something happens. Much easier than trying to regrip the weapon. Even if you have no target and your objective is moving, you still maintain positive control because you can never be sure where the enemy actually is.

Join the Marines and you’ll learn this.

Except this is based on arena gameplay. So you can akin it to paintball where running like that with a pistol 100% makes sense. I’ve done it real life in a paintball match and it’s far more comfortable. This isn’t a game where one life and your done like real life. In real life with a real gun in real combat is far different from arcade style shooting like you see in laser tag or paint ball

Paintball is a vastly different argument than real combat, as you said. But you didn’t mention paintball previously or arena gameplay, you mentioned real life. Technically, you’d also always keep your weapon on safe to avoid friendly fire scenarios, which is very likely during a sprint, only flipping to fire when you actually intend to shoot, even in actual combat.

Even in paintball I’d do the same thing, for the exact same reasons, except the safety of course cause you’re not gonna kill someone with a paintball.

Combat tactics aren’t about comfort, they’re about staying alive. The most accurate shooting positions are extremely uncomfortable. This is why during Grass Week, they make you stay in the same position for up to an hour without moving at all.

Okay I get that but who knows if those can be implemented easily or to that point would others like it at the moment your the only one I’ve seen talk about the trust slide (which I never knew was a thing same the grapple slide) so if you liked it that’s fine for you but others might not like it

i also would have preferred the game going more into the UT direction instead of the current COD course (although corrections have already been made since H5).
but i feel more like, that a lot of design decisions were made in board-meetings were some higher ups pointed at some stuff the most popular games have and said: this has to be in the game (while not realizing the oversaturated market) …
the thing saving infinite at the moment is, that the other AAA games released are in an even more uncomplete state than infinite (even with missing a lot of the halo core features and clearly being unfinished itself)

True.

Idk how to explain it. I want to go through the screen and rip his hand off the gun. It bothers me a lot. The running animation is ok for the BR it fits the BR but the pistol and small weapons it just doesn’t feel right running with two hands on the gun.

I at the very least want a classic style zoom on the pistol either that or a zoom like the camando.

It’s weird when you say others might not like it when the grapple can accomplish the same type of move already. It’s just odd that the thruster pack doesn’t at least have momentum

I did look it up the infinite thruster can do the thrust slide just not as easy

Plus
Most folks with the grapple shot don’t even know the slide exists abd tend to go for either just using it or juking other players or harpooning to another player very rarely have o seen the grapple slide
