Not only would it have made more sense considering that back then Halo was called a bad or poor man’s Unreal Gold or Unreal Tournament. Also Halo’s an arena shooter, not a military one. I feel making Halo more like UT would have made the series more great. Infinite needed Unreal Tournament features.
Could you explain said features Unreal tournament could’ve influenced Halo with? just to hear what could’ve been brought to the table.
Nothing about any of the Halo games including Infinite makes me feel like they have copied call of duty. The two games aren’t even close.
Ehhhhh 4’s multiplayer definitely took some “inspiration” from CoD
Agree highly
Sprint should be removed
Momentum should be the main way you move around.
All the features from classic arena should come back. That means the removal of equipment as well and out back true equal starts
Only call of duty things I see is the hitmarkers, and how they made the AR essentially the ACR from Mw2, making people run around like CoD in casual with easy cheap kills. I feel dirty using it, and can’t play anything but ranked.
Sprint sliding is in warzone.
Sprint sliding is in halo infinite.
Not the same but definitely the same concept.
Just because the AR is finally useful in Halo game since Combat Evolved doesn’t make it like CoD. For far to long that AR has been absolute garbage.
4’s multiplayer was basically a direct copy of reach. Just utilized armor ability’s differently.
Warzone was not the first game to have “sprint sliding” so definitely not a copy of CoD.
I have no issue with it being ‘good’ I have an issue with it being ‘too good’. Idk why people fail to realize this.
Strips shields and some health at longe range. Too accurate, Headshot multiplier, and dominates the sandbox on the levels of the BR in Halo 3. (I love Halo and my BR) but this is a problem. It’s promoting no skill gap, mindless movement, and dirt cheap kills.
Ar, Sidekick and Br need balance changes, period.
AR needs an accuracy nerf for damn sure.
Sidekick needs less bloom and slower rof.
BR needs RRR reduction.
People can’t be hiding behind this notion of “It’s good now pleaseeeeeeee”. The AR crowd is a loud minority.
Doesn’t matter if it was the first. As of right now the meta is the same.
In both games you slide and in both games you Sprint and in both games that’s litterally all you have if you want to move slightly faster on foot.
If you wanna play UT, go play UT. We want to play Halo and this is the closest to Halo we’ve been since Reach.
I don’t think I should be considered part of the loud minority for having opposing views.
I simply think the AR is in a good spot. I haven’t seen much to indicate it needing a nerf. The AR is still an automatic weapon; usually, requiring more than one headshot to kill an unshielded opponent. Precision weapon don’t share this weakness but require a skilled hand to use effectively.
People just aren’t used to an full-auto weapon being so good in Halo games. So much so that they forget the weaknesses and strengths of the other weapons.
Not everything should require a skilled hand to use. It should vary.
Halo infinite litterally has Sprint and clamber. And equipment that’s never been in halo before.
Halo infinite is the farthest away from classic it can possibly get.
No collison. Forced outlines. Grandes on weapon pads for goodness sake. Anyone that calls this a Halo game seriously leaves out the context
This is an arena shooter. Nothing should be easy to shoot.
Umm. This being an arena shooter means nothing to me.
See, you preach so much about not following trends, yet here you are wanting Halo Infinite to follow one.
Actually going back to the routes of arena gameplay would be going against the trends because no one is attempting it. I ganretee if they tried no Sprint Halo with UT style gameplay it walould be a massive success because there wouldn’t be any game like it on the market.
I’d like an explanation on what such influence would bring to halo, as I have received no explanation yet.
No it wouldn’t.
You stated “This is an arena shooter. Nothing should be easy to shoot.”
Is this not you asking for Halo to follow trends? Or is it just the trends you like to be followed?
What kind of horse crap is this low effort post? Halo predates COD. There’s almost nothing in common beside they are FPS.
Can someone, anyone please explain what influences would help? im getting nothing from this vagueness of the game being suggested, what makes it tick that could potentially work with Halo, THATS what I wanna know.
