Here’s what i’m thinking: keep a select few weapons which compliment ranked modes, while the rest of the weapon list is basically fan service for customs or casual. This can go for vehicles too because having weapons/vehicles from past Halo games would just be too much fun. Imagine Hornets, Falcons, and Wasps fighting alongside eachother in customs. Any thoughts?
I was going to post this in another thread, and it’s likely been covered elsewhere, but I agree. A massive forge world with a comprehensive list of weapons and vehicles would be awesome!
One issue with this is balance. Even for people making custom games, balancing EVERY weapon and vehicle against one another would be a huge pain. Adjustments may be required to bring the old up to the standard of the new.
I would say Halo Reach sandbox, but with Halo 2 battle rifle and the beam rifle as well.
They should set Fiesta BTB as a default mode, it will solve some stupid issues in BTB maps, such as overpowered map control, stupid respawn locations etc… And it will decrease skill gap to attract more players into the game.
Yeah, I agree. The more options, the better. Halo Infinite would be a great environment to test the limits of the game. Ideally, the sandbox should be as big as possible.
There would have to be a select few basic weapons for the ranked playlists to be locked with, but social playlist and customs shouldn’t have the same limitations as ranked. Even if some weapons are redundant, it would still be great fan service. The same for vehicles.

Agree 1000% if Halo 5’s weapon variants/attachments are excluded and only pre-Halo 5 vehicle variants are included as vehicle variants

Tbh the Plasma Caster’s aesthetic isn’t too far from more classic covenant design. If they tweak its function and appearance a bit, I wouldn’t mind it being the only Halo 5 asset returning.
