343 should find a way to release forge earlier

if they want that to be a possible buggy mess no if theres gonna be a release its gonna be the date its currently set to

Although I ain’t tech-savvy, I think just tossing it out with missing features (such as the scripting features) could end up with consequences depending on how the entire Forge build is.

If 343 can find a way to release it earlier I’m sure they will.

I think someone hinted about a flight of some sort.

I also want to have the Forge released quickly, but I don’t think that would be a good thing for them to do if it wasn’t actually ready to be released.
Even custom games aren’t working properly at this point.
So, it would probably not turn out well if they released it early.

Well here is the thing.
Forge isn’t as simple as it used to be anymore.

It used to be just giving players a limited set of dev tools to use to create their own maps and then locking them down hard so that they cannot be easily brought into multiplayer by hackers.

Halo 5 introduced a much more complex dev tool experience made by Certain Affinity. 343 didn’t even make Halo 5’s forge themselves, a third-party studio handled it (which is likely why unlike most of the other stuff in Halo 5, this was one of the few redeeming qualities that H5G had to offer.)

Certain Affinity is again working on Halo Infinite’s forge. Now… given that Covid happened and slowed production down and caused delays, it is understandable that once again Forge isn’t going to be available until around May.

But if Certain Affinity rushed the job we would have -

  • Forge not working right, so we would have a LOT of complainers about “forge being released as a broken mode. me no like . 343 fix it !” all over social media and these forums.

  • Since Halo Infinite is also on PC, and PC gamers are full of hackers, they are probably taking their time to ENSURE that the forge tools are hard-locked into its own mode. Imagine playing Halo PvP on a match and all of a sudden someone starts the match by turning into a monitor, spawning SPNKR Rockets and Convergence Bulldogs for his team while your team has only ARs and Sidekicks?

Give it time.
Like Private First Class Michael J. Crespo once said to Corporal Taylor D. Miles -
“This ain’t a job you wanna rush.”
