Every previous halo game that has not had the msterchief in the game or as a playable character has not had a numerical number except ODST, but that was set during halo 2. If halo 5 doesn’t have the masterchief as the main character then it seems to be breaking the trend. Set by wars, reach and what ever pathetic twin sticker abominations either by controls or lore that 343 conjures up
Master Chief is the main playable character in Halo 5. You will also play as Locke, similar to how you played as the Arbiter sometimes in Halo 2.

1.) “Every previous halo game that has not had the msterchief in the game or as a playable character has not had a numerical number” – He is playable in Halo 5.
2.) “If halo 5 doesn’t have the masterchief as the main character then it seems to be breaking the trend.” – We don’t know that he’s not the main character. If anything, it seems that Locke and Chief are both the “main” characters. I imagine 343 will try hard to have neither character upstage the other, instead trying to balance their importance.
