343 should colab w/ YTbrs for cmpgn footage [edit]

Edited, look towards the bottom.
You know? I think that instead of going through the same type of ‘news’ with media outlets asking questions to 343i for things people already know over pre-recorded curated footage/small montage/not so great gameplay… why not have some youtubers sitting down on a couch with 343i and have fun?

Why not have someone like greenskull sit down with some developpers, and then launch of campaign, and have greenskull just go have fun, maybe go exploring, and have him replay sections then in coop. Like the thing he described in his visit to 343i. Have him go wild with it, not have a very controlled footage. Have a few youtubers just go at it, a few community people I should say. Simply let them commentate, let them ask questions, and have them have fun.

I think that would be something much more hyping and much more true to the game than a traditional article with b-roll footage. Like, would they really try something like, let’s all jump on top of each other and ground pound the enemy! Or let’s all try and charge at the same enemy! If the campaign is to be as different and varied as it’s supposed to be, then shouldn’t this work?

Go wild, go community, go new!

Have a Warzone gaming night. 343 vs the Community. Put it up on youTube to show later, the developers going against the community’s best. That would be a sight to behold indeed.

Edit Also just now realized - almost half an hour later - that you specifically mentioned campaign and not just footage in general. My observation skills are lacking today it seems :B

If 343 actively goes to youtuber other than its fan base it looks desperate. That said I’m not sure I would want to see the likes of Pewdepie playing halo 5 as part of a big ad campaign. YouTube is a Trend orientated thing. I’m sure come the day of release all the hard core FPS tubers will post a campaign playthroughs. jackfrags a Die hard Battlefront player has already posted his E3 experience with others from that circle doing the same.

The only way 343i could truly encapsulate the YouTube gaming community is to put it on pc.

Edit: Other than that groups like, Ready up live, Halo canon, Halo Archive and it pains me to say it… Halo follower (the casual market) are the only way to build hype with established fans

I’m really not talking about people like Pewdiepie… way wrong audience, way wrong format, way wrong type of reactions…
Ready up live and such. That would be good. They’ve already started going in with youtubers, that part of the community instead of simply traditional gaming press.

So yeah, that would be great.

Meh, it might be a bit close to the necro… but… I think it’s relevant, it seems like 343i might have done this indeed.
So I guess we’ll see in about two hours and nine minutes I think?

Multiplayer or forge, yeah that idea is genius.

but I don’t see this working out with campaign. They would have to be careful on what they say and everything would probably be scripted.

edit: Didn’t see your second comment… HYPE!!

TBF, isnt that the point of RUL? Thgough I suppose getting it out there with larger YT celebs like Angry gamer or ReviewtechUSA…
Oh, it’s a necro-

It’s my own thread, on a relevant subject considering the embargo. Not that far off from the date.
But seems more like a media thing but I’m especially excited for RUL’s video though. He knows how to make it fun, sort of like this thread’s idea.
Yep, seems like it’s what I wanted:

Spoiler alert for campaign missions
Kinda funny games video was the most enjoyable out of them all so far, the IGN ones were nice too, with the skull.
