The title saids it all. add Fire Team Raven to the Master Chief Collection port it over with the full 4 player co-op and served records experience. FTR is hard for a lot of people to find to play so make it available for everyone by porting it over to MCC
While I agree it should be made more available why does it need to be apart of the MCC? Could list it as a stand alone title on Xbox and Steam for $15 or less.
I mean this would probably be the only title that justifies more than 10$ as a DLC and anything that can hold off MTX in MCC is welcomed in my book.
They can still collect payment on it as a stand alone title. It’s made in a completely different engine and wouldn’t make sense to add in the MCC from a maintenance perspective.
It’s a very short game it feel like it would fit better and feel more at home with MCC then it would as a stand alone game especially since it takes place during the event of Halo CE
They should definitely port this over to the MCC. I’ve only seen a Fireteam Raven machine once in my life, and the jokers inside of it wouldn’t screw off so I could play.
It’s a different genre and game engine. The story is pretty forgettable especially since none of the characters are mentioned in any other piece of media outside of flavor text. From CE to H4 it’s the same engine that’s been built upon and iterated over through the decades. They all share a common DNA and presumably make it simpler to maintain (not saying it’s easy to maintain the MCC as a whole). All teams involved would have to learn a different code base to support a very niche title within the collection when really it needs a small dedicated team to port the title as it’s own game.
I’d defo say as a nifty little DLC this could be cool. Many people don’t get to play it and it’d be nice to have a fresh new experience in the game for people to play. I guess that it would go under the ‘Campaign’ section of the MCC with all of the relevant pop-ups about canonicity and game genre before playing.
This is honestly a splendid idea as it adds some more content to the MCC that I don’t assume would take much effort to make.
id rather they not break MCC again by adding a whole game running a different engine.
I don’t get the push to bloat MCC. it’d be better as a separate release.
The only thing they should add to MCC, is the Mark V model from it into Halo 3.
The game itself should be given its own standalone release, or be added to the microsoft store as a way to replace Halo 5 forge when Halo 5 gets a full standalone Release, rather than be added as bloat to MCC.
Depending on how the game is built, either a standalone release or MCC DLC would be welcome.
(I think I’d prefer standalone though)
I would also like to mention that the fire team Raven armour is already in MCC so it would be nice to have the game in MCC so people can see where that armour comes from and make the connection if it was a stand alone game it wouldn’t be as easy to make the connection due to the disconnect of not being involved with each other
It would probably be easier to do a straight port like Halo Wars 1 and 2 and the Spartan Assault/Strike games rather than added to MCC. Same thing with Halo 5. I want them all on PC and Xbox, but MCC was made so Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4 were on the Xbox One. So many seem to forget that the Xbox One wasn’t intended to be backwards compatible and that’s the only reason MCC wasn’t just Halo 2 Anniversary.
ODST was added because the launch was bad and it was temporarily free. Reach was added to essentially remaster the game and to drive PC version sales (and to test run how live-service would work for infinite) It put all of the games into one service made to be maintained and upgraded as time went on, instead of canceled in 10 years like the OG Xbox and 360 services. Halo 5 is already in that service so it won’t be added to MCC, same with the Spartan spin-offs and Halo Wars definitive and 2. Fireteam Raven isn’t a retail product like the others, but I would imagine the same logic applies. It is better to just do a whole port with dedicated features instead of trying to cram it into MCC.
Sidenote, I wish they would make the VR tech demo (Halo Recruit) work for every headset instead of just Windows mixed reality. But Microsoft’s relationship with VR is a whole other rant.
While they are at in why not the Spartan Strike and Assault games? I’d pay around 25 for all 3
You can already buy Spartan Strike and Assault on everything though. Why would I want to buy those again for MCC when they are already in my steam library?
I don’t think Spartan Strike was ever ported to xbox so i would like to have it. Thats really the only reason.
Having it added as a stand alone title would be nice. My wallet, and my ears (way too loud), were hurting last time I played it at Dave and Busters!
Spartan strike never came to Xbox
Release on consoles and Steam as a standalone.
