It would be nice if 343 didnt steal our map packs from us, and aniversary BTB… cant forget about action sack… see, all of us true reach players paid a good bit of money for all the DLC… i saved up to buy them, and it was hard, because i’m a poor person… Because of 343, we cant even play the DLC or get to finish out the last few achievements… they screwed up Infection by adding zombie ghosts, which nobody i mean nobody likes it… it makes the game lag, and the new infection maps are freaking limited, looks like you hired an -Yoink!- kid to come use forge and mess up some already perfect maps… i will never buy halo 4 because of 343 totally messing up my favorite game… i have 1,000 friends and 20,000 common players that agree with me… 343 will never get respect from us, unless they fix our game back like it was before they messed it up… I’m thinking of starting a signed petition to get our game fixed back like it was… how many signatures do you need to make this happen? i will get twice as many signatures as i need for the simple fact, that i despise thieves…

Now: 343i did not steal the maps. In fact, you wouldn’t have had the maps had 343i not hired Certain Affinity to make them. Are the maps still on your hard drive and playable in customs? Yes. Do they come up in matchmaking? Yes. Unforunately, there are no playlist dedicated to the map packs because the population was incredibly low.
The maps still show up if everyone in the lobby has them. I suggest finding people who have the maps and going into a full party with them. This way you can attempt to get the achievements.
I find it hard to believe you have a thousand friends on your list that agree with you, seeing as you can’t have more than 100. I also find it hard to believe that reach’s entire population agree’s with everything you have said and that they would like it if they found out you were trying to speak for them.

I am sorry that you do not like or appreciate the new infection maps. I can agree with you that the infection maps were pretty bad, and that the DLC was a fiasco, but that doesn’t make 343i theives.
Now: 343i has in no way inhibited your use of the map packs. The legal note that you agreed to when you purchased the DLC in no way promised that you would have a playlist for the DLC. The fact that there was one was a gift, but many good things must come to an end.
I realise the fact that the achievments being un-obtainable is annoying, and unforunate, but there is nothing we can do about it at this point in time. It does not mean 343i has robbed you of anything, or stolen the DLC. The DLC is usable in customs and matchmaking, there is just a large part of the population who could not afford and did not download the Downloadable content.
That is why it almost never comes up. It is not that it does not exist online, it is that many players did not purchase it.

If you wanted DLC you should have bought it when it was released, encouraged your friends to buy and just play. If you have a full party of friends that all run with DLC, you can play all the DLC you want in pretty much all playlists.

And… it isn’t that way. I went back to play Halo Reach for awhile and was pleasantly surprised at the forge maps they put in. They aren’t crappy either, I really like them.

343 did not create the DLC… Bungie did… 343 only made the anniversary DLC, and created TU which is not halo… Its gay… It causes lag in every game type it’s in, and totally goes against reach’s originally created platform…
I’ve played in matchmaking, when everyone has the DLC… guess what… It never became an option when it came time to pic a map to play…
343 isn’t going to admit they messed up reach to try and make more sales on Halo 4… reach was perfect the way it was… After everything was sent to 343, Reach has been ridiculously laggy for some reason…

Why did 343 Take away Action sac, which is 15 different game types in one?

Why did 343 stick TU in everything, when the game was fine for 2 years without it? Most of the time, that’s all you can choose on Big team or regular slayer.
Why did you say the population is low when there was over 80,000 people on the other night, then mysteriously the counter stop working at 3 in the morning, when hardly many people are online?
Why did 343 take away anniversary big team, when its the only game type you can play a few of the maps that aren’t available for anniversary?
Why is Zombie ghosts still in the play list, when nobody wants it there? When 11 people swing a hammer at the last man at the same time, the game almost freezes for everyone.
Why cant 343 simply put reach back the way it was before you messed the game up?

Reading through these messages really all I could tell was that 343 seems to be pretty shady. Heres some quotes FROM THE EMPLOYEE that dont make sense. “into a full party with them. This way you can attempt to get the achievements.” Your basically telling us to boost achievements, which in Halo 3 (which made sense because it was made by Bungie) you would get banned for boosting achievements! Now, im guessing 343 has their complete undivided attention to try to improve their already -Yoink- Halo 4. If your not going to do anything good to Reach why own the rights to it?

Silent A98 is just an ordinary active forum user, not a 343 employee. You have no idea how dumb you just made yourself look. And I agree with everything SilentA98 has said because it is 100% correct.

Partying up with DLC owners doesn’t guarantee you find DLC maps, but it does increase the chances of them showing and allowing you to get achievements. And Bungie NEVER said you couldn’t boost achievements. They allowed it, as long as the rest of the game was played normally after the achievements were earned. It was only the people who constantly had AFK guests and were stat boosting who were banned. Legitimate achievement boosters were not.

If Zombie Ghosts is being voted for a lot, then common sense should tell you that its a popular gametype, meaning people LIKE IT. If you can’t understand that simple concept, then thats your problem nobody elses.

Petitions are not allowed on the Waypoint forums. It is stated in the forum rules which you agreed to when you joined these forums. If you get banned for posting a petition, again thats your problem and nobody elses since you are breaking the rules.

SilentA98 agreed with you that some of the maps were bad and that the DLC situation could be better. It still doesn’t make him an employee of 343, so where you got that from in any of his post is beyond me. Removing the DLC playlist due to its low population freed up server space to allow better performance in other servers. Its common practie to remove dead/low populated playlist. Bungie did it before 343 (even with Halo 3’s DLC playlists), so by your reasoning Bungie were thieves too right? I mean they did the same as 343 with DLC playlists, so why aren’t you calling Bungie thieves? The DLC maps ARE available in every playlist. But like SilentA98 said, if you don’t play with other DLC owners in your lobby, then it removes the chance of playing DLC maps. If the people who play Reach now don’t have the DLC, then that isn’t 343’s problem. 343 can’t force people to buy the DLC if they don’t want to buy it.

DLC playlists have always been temporary. Even on Halo 3, whenever a new map pack was released there was a temporary playlist that was removed after a few months and the maps were pu into regular rotation in other playlists. The only reason the DLC maps show up a lot in Halo 3 is because all but 4 playlists require ALL the DLC to play in them. If this had been done early in Halo Reach’s life then maybe the DLC would show up more. But that wasn’t the case, since Reach’s DLC wasn’t very popular to begin with. And the chances of Reach’s playlist being made DLC required this late in its life are slim to none, since 343 are concentrating on the games THEY are developing, not games somebody else made. Why would a company like 343 fully support a product that is now old and they didn’t make, when they could be keeping up with newer technology and fully supporting their own product? Its common business practice in the gaming world.
You seriously need to learn how a business prioritizes its main concerns, rather than bash them when something that you want doesn’t happen. Specially when its about an outdated, barely supported product.
Wish I had 1000 friends, especially all of whom owned reach and still played… Sadly there is not enough room on my friends list.
