Things they ****ed up with custom games:**
1) No custom power-ups
2) No weapons on maps in flood.
3) No 1-flag CTF
4) No point system so game cannot end when a zombie dies.
5) FLOOD CANNOT HOLD WEAPONS! ¯(°_o)/¯
6) Cannot turn off sprint!

1) Monitor cannot zoom in
2) You cannot click in the crouch button to move slower in monitor mode.
3) Forge pieces STILL look plain.

The only way to do some of this is modding. People have become so desperate to make the old amazing custom games that modders have begun to make some of the old gametypes on their own.

343 ruined this game in many ways but custom games was raped and left for dead in a ditch.
Yes they -Yoinked!- up infection games big time with their stupid flood.
cant hold weapons? Goodbye duck hunt.
Cant splatter flood? Goodbye ice cream man.
But its not just infection
They even messed up options in slayer that prevents awesome gametypes (that do where possible in older halo’s :s)
For example: moster trucks, a gametype where you splatter people and push others of the map. Cant be done unlike halo 3 and reach.
Even the griffball options are so limited it selfishly only supports the gametype 343 made itself, with no concidiration for other people’s ideas.
It would’ve been great if if you could score points by trowing the ball in the scoring zone, opening cool possibilities and options for games like basketball, soccer, american football, maybe even baseball, where one trows the ball and one hits it with a grav hammer, but sadly no…
I then thought hmm… maybe it doesnt work with griffball, lets try assault (Plant the bomb) only to find out that gametype isnt even in the game -_-
And this is just custom games… Not to mention the lack of content that has been in older halo’s: campaign scoring, aircrafts from UNSC, Ranked playlist, actuall playlists… These are justgametypes… The the lack of medals like sniper spree, sword spree. And much more…
I was truly exited for halo 4 but the more i play the game the more dissapointments i have.
It looks like all the new content they showed in the trailers was also all the content the game has…
Bungje kinda took a wrong turn on halo reach but 343 just took over and went in the same direction and made it worse. The only good thing i can say about 343i is that they have amazing art designers and can make great cutscenes (not in-game though xD look at spatan ops ingame cutscenes lol) but the core halo mechanics should have been left to bungie.

I’m really upset with the limited custom games options–the exclusion of Assault and 1-flag especially.
I completely agree I feel like zombies has been dealt a huge blow. I mean don’t get me wrong the flood thing is cool but we should also have the option to just have the old style of zombies as well.
Race? Race gametype? Mongoose racing? Driving on a mongoose with your friends racing through checkpoints? Racing on a mongoose? Race support? Etc.
I agree with it all, except the Forge pieces. I like them in this game. You can actually tell the difference between colors.

Calm down everyone, 343 have said that they are making a patch for customs.
Where did you read that they where fixing it? Its not that i dont believe anything someone writes on the internet but a link would have been nice

Its like 343 never played halo, at least not custom games.
All the major custom game types (regular and minigame) that where famous and loved by the community arent even possible to create…

If things don’t change it will be RiP Halo4 for my friends and I. We just do not enjoy the new CTF. We need some option or we will be moving on. Seems 343i may actually be our “Halo killer”.
I stopped playing Halo Reach because custom games sucked, and 4’s suck a hell’a lot more.
Will not be buying Halo 4 or season pass until confirmation details regarding custom games.
They also need to add more vehicles.
Brute vehicles like chopper made games like cat and mouse, air vehicles like Falcon or Hornet, Falcon they have a model for just update it. Also, those issues you mentioned. They need to tell us whether they are planning on doing anything regarding that. As, this game will make or break their trilogy (for me at least, I am renting it at the moment and will rent the others if I see no improvements).

You do know that more then half of all forge pieces are ripped traight out of reach, just retextured
Oh and while im complaing about forge i might as well mention the -Yoink- that you have to return to the battle field when you find a nice place to forge (ex: the water in the lower part of the cave forge map)
If only they’ve spend half the time making sure all halo features where in the game then making those half baked death zones everywhere.
That has been an annoyance since reach though, for multiplayer i get it, but whats wrong with peopletrying to go out of the map in campaign, it added so much more stuff to besides following the story

Yeah thats the reason i’ve quit reach as well, it was so dead compared to the H3 custom game community.
And couldnt agree more about the vehicles that where left out, ive been missing the chopper for alot of custom maps. At least in reach there was the revenant, that kinda made up for the lack of a splatter vehicle (still sucked cause it cant splatter other vehicles)
And the missing aircrafts is one of the biggest fails imo, RIP pillar of smear, for those who remember that
At least im happy to see that alot of halo fans are agreeing about custom games being messed up.
Everyone in this thread seems to agree and ive seen other threads about custom too.
Honestly ive would xpected some cool story bro’s by now xD
But it looks like everyone is pissed about all these changes.
Lets hope these threads will shake something up that will make 343 fix all this BS
