I’ve had Halo 5 since launch and never had any issues with theater but all of the sudden when I try to watch a film it says “LOAD ERROR An error occurred while attempting to load the film. Please ensure your privacy settings allow you to view content from other players.”
My privacy setting are as open as possible. I’ve tried custum privacy setting and the adult privacy setting but neither option helped. There is no reason for it not to work. Please help.
Same. Cycled through privacy settings, deleting temp Halo data, hard resets. Still getting load errors from theater and intermittent 0 results in the Customs Browser.
I’m having the same exact problem. My privacy settings are all correct. How is there an issue this huge for so many people with her something as simple as theatre mode?? And 343 has not responded at all to this issue.
Thank you for the reports! We’re aware of this and investigating.
It looks like a third-party update is impacting Spectator & Theater, and our team is aware and investigating. While you won’t be able to jump into Theater for the time being, any matches that you run will still be saved and accessible after the issue is resolved.

I’ve been experiencing this issue myself for approximately a week now. I adjusted my Xbox Live profile privacy settings, reset my console, and did a regular power cycle. I’m glad I was not the only one experiencing this problem. I hope it get resolved soon.
I think an accurate ETA isn’t going to be possible to give right now. Considering that this has just happened and been brought to their attention and is also potentially a fault unrelated to the game itself, it could be a little bit before an update / fix is pushed out.
I’m sure the team will post back or make an announcement once they have it sorted, until then we just need to be patient and wait it out i’m afraid

Thank you for letting us know that you guys are working hard on the issue!
Considering it’s a privacy issue it’s likely a fault with the Xbox Live privacy system, or some other third party influence. 343 might not be able to fix the issue until Microsoft themselves have given a system update to Xbox Live itself. That being said who knows, a fix might be on it’s way any second now. Fingers crossed.
