I bought Halo Wars 2: UE yesterday and redeemed the code that came with it. The code was supposed to both download the seasons pass and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition. It did download HW:DE and strangely enough the Kinsano leader pack. The rest of the stuff didn’t download.
When I go to the store all of the DLC does not say owned, there’s a price next to it. Also when I manage halo wars 2 it doesn’t show anything in the ready to install category. Under the installed section it only shows Halo wars 2, Kinsano and leader forge.
I am currently getting the same issue, I had a friend give me the season pass and definitive edition of Halo wars 1 as a gift and it says I only own kinsano and the definitive edition of Halo wars 1

Please let me know if you find a fix. I can’t seem to get it to work…
I have the exact same issue. I redeemed my Ultimate Edition code (says right on the card: Download Season Pass as well as Halo Wars Definitive Edition) just a few days ago and all it downloaded was the Definitive Edition as well as the Kinsano Leader Pack. The Season Pass was not included and everything in the Xbox store for the season pass, including the season pass itself is not “owned” and has a price tag on it.
People experienced a similar issue when the game first came out (before all of the season pass leaders were available). They were able to fix their issue by Re-installing the game. To anyone else having this difficulty, the re-install doesn’t work for our issue, I have already tried it twice. Our issue seems to be a bigger problem and I am guessing a patch will have to come out.
Yes, I am having the same problem. I have been trying to talk to Microsoft about it. The problem is that they have replaced the ultimate edition with the complete edition on the xbox marketplace, so the code now goes to a bundle that has been incorrectly without the season pass. Microsoft basically told me there is nothing they can do and to contact 343, but I dont think we are going to see an answer. I’m not sure what to do
I’m having the exact same problem for a halo wars 2 ultimate edition, the season pass isn’t available to download. Hope someone finds out how to fix this
Just wanted to add a new face to the conversation. I recently bought Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition and can confirm that the issue with the Season Pass (or more specifically the download code provided with HW2: UE) incompletely downloads the advertised DLC packs. At first I thought I was having difficulties with my queued downloads or managing the game’s instillation files due to receiving portions of the HW2 Season Pass content. Like the other posters in this thread, I was able to download/received Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and the Kinsano Leader Pack while the other content packs included in the Halo Wars 2 Season Pass remain paywalled in the Xbox Live Microsoft Store. In reviewing this thread, it looks likes there’s ample evidence to suggest that this is an isolated incident relating and occurring to recent purchasers of HW2: UE who used the game’s included Season Pass download code. I’m still in the middle of figuring out who to contact with Microsoft / 343i (if I even can) to try and fix this issue so I might as well try and raise some awareness in the meantime. I doubt I’ll spend much more time beyond this post over a $30 DLC problem and unfortunately I’m skeptical at best that Microsoft / 343i (or wherever this issue falls on the chain of command) regards this Season Pass issue as enough of a customer retention / PR concern to actually address and fix the issue (though I would be happy to be proven wrong). As a longtime Halo fan I’ve been really enjoying the direction Halo Wars 2 is taking the series and its RTS gameplay is really fun to boot
It’s a shame I’m having such a good time with the core game and that I was looking forward to buying the Awakening The Nightmare Campaign DLC but as my personal experience stands currently I cannot in principle purchase this game’s dlc.
Thanks for taking the time to read this- hopefully this post can help push the message along.
P.S. To 343i staff: if you’re reading this, we’re all rooting for you for Halo Infinite and ushering in second golden era of halo
Hello all, just joining in that I am also one of the group now that bought Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition, interestingly enough, it does show up that I own the season pass on the PC Microsoft store, but that does not apply to the xbox, so hopefully enough people chime up and this issue gets addressed…
Hello everyone,
Well I was able to talk to someone from 343i and they said they will send this information to the correct people. So, we will see what happens. Hopefully someone will be able to figure out the problem soon. I will let you know if I hear anything more.
I am having the same problem with everyone, in this group. I got the Ultimate Edition and it says that it come with the Season Pass, but it only gave me the Kisano Pack and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
SAME problem bought HW2UE in April this year, season pass shows purchased in Windows 10 store but tells me to Buy in Xbox Store, Please get this fixed!
I bought the Ultimate Edition back when it was first released in 2017 but didn’t use the code until just a couple weeks ago and I’m experiencing the same problem as everyone else here. I got the Definitive Edition no problem as well as the Kisano and Forge DLC but nothing else. I know you guys are apparently looking into it but an update would be appreciated 343.
Adding my name to the list of people who purchased a physical disc copy of Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition (purchased end of March 2019), and redeemed the Season Pass code on the sheet of paper on April 4th, 2019.
My Xbox One shows access to Halo Wars DE and Kinsano, but none of the other packs.
Interestingly, I noticed there are TWO Season Passes on the Microsoft store:
This one shows that I own it, along with the associated content packs showing owned. Neither the Season Pass nor the packs associated with this listing have a download/send to Xbox One button. This one also shows it only works with HW2: Halo Wars 2 Season Pass | Xbox
This is the other listing, and says I do not own it nor any of the associated content packs. This is the listing that comes up when searching on the Xbox Store. It shows it works with HW2 and HW2 Complete Edition. Halo Wars 2 Season Pass | Xbox
There appears to be something wrong with the codes printed on the sheets of paper - why do they redeem for a different version of the Season Pass, and also why are there two Season Passes listed on the store? Looking for some insight and a fix on this, thank you!

I hope they solve the problem soon, I redeemed my code yesterday and I have the same problem
