Is there a plan to make Halo Wars crossplay between Steam and Windows Store versions?
Hey, just running into this issue myself right now in August 2022.
for the last hour or so, every time I try to create a lobby on definitive edition I get “initializing lobbies” screen for about 15-20 seconds, followed by ”could not join that lobby due to an issue with Xbox Live”.
If I leave that error message up without pressing A to dismiss it, 15 seconds later I’ll get the “You have lost your connection to Xbox Live. Unable to maintain your online session” error message on top of it.
By all accounts, I’m definitely still on Xbox Live, other games work fine, I can interact with my friends list and join parties, but Halo Wars DE is experiencing a problem itself.

This is not a fix but restarting you game ussually fixes this issue, also make sure you already in the game menu before you accept any game invites.

After “Halo” appears, it is an eternal screen. Kind of a darkish blue color. Doesn’t get to main menu.
Halo Wars Definitive Edition, PC. Does not get to main menu.
