[343 Response] Halo: Reach Server Issues

Halo: Reach Server issue. . .

When you go to the main menu to halo reach it shows everyone else is on recruit when I click the pause button to go to the armory it show’s I’m rank reclaimer

and it says I reached the offline max credit limit. We are all in recruit armor and everything. People aren’t playing reach much right now until it gets fixed. I’m not the only one who see’s this, multiple people has. Is there like a glitch in the system or are you guys doing mainence? I figured this out 6days ago, please bring it back online.
My gamertag: I Dark Silent l

PLEASE TELL ME I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS! Please someone explain to me what is going on, also have many people been getting disconnected out of no where multiple times lately? If it’s not happening to you then it’s just me then. I’m sorry. I’m sort of freaking out here.

  • Please bring back the servers because I do livestreaming on it and I also record videos and a lot of other things.

This is ridiculous! It’s been 4 days. 343 is so unqualified. Probably did this on purpose to help the yoink halo 5 population.

No, it’s not a new bug but they should find a way to fix this forever…

Well, it’s not working-Halo 5 is still a failure in the eyes of many players. But I do agree that this seems more like a deliberate attempt than an accident. Bungie never failed this hard. You had to try to fail like this-it isn’t out of laziness. I’d like to believe that 343 isn’t doing this willingly, but there’s enough to suggest that they are. Which would be really, really, sad. Especially when even Xbox One players are affected.

It’s like the Mass Effect 3 ending-had some shrink from EA written it, it would have just had the Crucible firing like a Halo except only hurting Reapers, some Reapers die, some don’t, and Harbinger and the remaining Reapers swear vengeance on Shepard and that’s the plot of ME4. But instead Casey Hudson and Mac Walters did their own Starchild ending that seemed to be tailor-made to anger the fans.

wow, we can REALLY trust bravo, every time he passes something to a team nothing happens.
HINT: the sell all REQs button.

The sad truth. Right there.

Seriously?? WOW! Ok then. I guess I’m going to have to get X-box live again!

keep buying into MS and 343’s trash. If halo 5 had such outstanding numbers don’t you think they would be going around and gloating about it? Don’t you think that halo 5 would have a population counter? LOL keep buying into their crap. One of the co-founders of twitter said that the whole statistic of a “monthly active user” is crap and has little to know helpful insight on the health of any social media sight and or video games. So the whole 343 lie of “look guys we have more monthly active users than halo 3” is crap and if you believe a game with a estimated 5 million copies has a healthy population than a game that sold 14.5 million copies you are out of your mind.

Hey 343 while your at it trying to fix a problem that should not exist why don’t you make a dlc playlist and mash together some of the playlists that need help right now. Or better yet why not release the DLC for free since I am near certain that nobody has bought the Noble, Defiant or Anniversary map packs for reach within the last year.

i tweeted the issue to bravo he replied saying the team is looking for a solution right now

9/22/16: Reach servers are having serious issues, topic started.
9/23/16: Bravo shows up late to the party and says they’re investigating.
9/25/16: No word from 343, dev team, ETA on server fix.

I’m not a programmer, but I can understand how Bungie’s Reach netcode may seem a little foreign to 343’s amateur software devs, despite Reach being a six years old game on a legacy platform… Halo 4 ran on the same engine as Reach (BLAM), so I don’t think fixing this issue, which has arisen before, seems too complicated. From a triple-A development company, it’s sad to see they have to take more than three days to get a six year old game back on it’s feet.

As I said before, you have to actually TRY to suck like this. Bungie had the servers go down now and then, but they were only one-day intervals and were fixed in the next day. I can only remember one, maybe two times this happened with Bungie. It’s like 343 doesn’t even want to fix it. I don’t want to accuse them of malicious intentions, but that’s the only logical answer here. That, or sheer incompetence. They really sank in performance and quality ever since Halo 5 came out. A lot of good programmers must’ve gotten fired when Halo 5 didn’t sell the expected number of copies.

Wonder if 343 will tell us there progress on fixing Reach servers.

Reach isn’t even 343i’s game, and they probably don’t have very many individuals even working on Reach.

But 343 was in control from 2012 onwards and and Reach ran fine for 4 years.

Just found this thread.
Guess the weekend got in the way for them to fix it?
Bring back my rank, armour and challenges its what i came to play reach for.

Or they take 11 months like the file browser

I think i lost all my stuff because i changed my gamertag… is there a way to get that back or am i doomed to be the bland version of noble six?

its like this for everyone you didn’t lose all your progress and I would also like to add to the issue list that it disabled challenges

Oh right, knew I was missing something.
Even though it does kinda fall into the same category as the offline credit bug.
I’ll add it anyways.
