Does anyone still play halo 4 multiplayer? When I try to join a matchmaking game it says “The halo 4 servers are not available. Please try again later. Matchmaking has switched to using the default playlist.” What’s going on? I just renewed my membership to play some halo 4.
Sadly, it’s pretty hard joining games without a server crash. You can still find games in BTB, which is the only populated playlist, but if “You Appear to Lost your Connection to Xbox Live” message shows up, you have to close and restart the game.
Yea It appears the servers are down. Though why and for how long is unknown, as there’s no info anywhere. I also just got back on…I really hope they haven’t quietly shut the servers down for good.

Yeah issues are popping up again mere weeks after it was running perfect, now it gives me multiple Black Screens per game so it’s running the same right before it switched to default playlists. Not sure how it got solved after the fact maybe it needs a monthly reset I’m not sure, but it lags pretty badly after running into a black screen and makes it impossible to acquire my Ordnance if I spawn on before a Black Screen. Obviously lags a bit before timer issues or Black Screen as well so it’s heading to the unplayable state, thought you all would like to hear feedback.
Halo 4 continues to put me in Black Screen every few games and the resulting lag is a tad overwhelming, I hope this gets looked into as the fix that happened a few weeks back made it work perfect but now it’s slowing breaking again
Update 1/2/2020 Halo 4 continues to give me the (You appear to have lost your connection to Xbox LIVE. You must be connected to Xbox LIVE to play.) I simply tried to start a game of Big Team Slayer it finds the game and says everyone left and it boots me right back saying the exact message. I hope 343 can look into this because it was fixed a couple months back to be perfect and it is slowly degrading to where I can’t play online
2/9/20 Halo 4 is still continuing to display (You have lost your connection to Xbox Live. You must be connected to Xbox LIVE to play) I will be searching in Big Team Battle and then it will kick me back to the main menu and display said message. I hope this still gets checked every so often
Servers down?
Just Got on Halo 4, and Im having problens getting into matches. I know Im connected to xbox live, yet not a single match starts outside of Spartan Ops. All I wanna fricken do is play some damn infinity matchmaking.
I would have to agree, I’m trying to get some achievements and I keep getting disconnected. A quick fix I found was to logout then back in and that works for the time being. It’s very annoying though, because my NAT is Open and I’ve never had an issue with this before. Also, my DLC maps aren’t showing either, after installing and restarting my console. I wish this could get fixed so I can just enjoy playing the game.
I would love to play some of my old edited maps again with friends though can’t get online with them or connect to upload them to share. I heard about the map conversion to bring them to the new forge after it happened. I’d gladly pay to bring a couple of my maps over to the new forge.
Tried to log on today; same issues as mentioned above. Keeps signing me out of Xbox live
So basically on 4/7/2020 I think halo 4 shut down the servers for xbox live or some crap and i cant play it, ALSO MY XBOX LIVE EXPIRES ON ?/11/2020
I’m getting the halo waypoint servers are down I have been trying to collect the achievement for collection the terminals I’m campaign but I can’t watch one of the videos from I think terminal 8 so no achievement. Is there any information on if and when this issue is getting resolved
So could someone please confirm that halo 4 servers are still supported because I’m thinking of getting the game just to play multiplayer and I don’t want to waste time and money getting again if multiplayer does not work.

Still supported, but population today will be very, very low

I logged into to halo 4 360 to do my weekly challenges. and the halo 4 server is not connecting. so no challenges are available and nothing multiplayer/ I try to load service record it says halo 4 server cannot be reached. I know the server or servers of all halo 360 games will be shutdown in December, but this is MAY. can someone check into this?
