Missing custom game options, missing forge maps in multiplayer, campaign theater, options in forge and competitive ranking, am i the only one who feels like this game was unfinished?

It does seem that way.
They need to release a MASSIVE patch with the addition of gamemodes and custom game options.
We also need a decent forge map.

Don’t lie! I bet if anything you’ve already thought the same thing. I know a lot more is coming but it feels like many of the features that made MP good are missing.
Nope. 343i made choice. They choose to include some of the thing and exlude other at launch. If you don’t agree with them fine but I can hardly call Halo 4 a unfinished game obviously anyone calling Halo 4 this have no clue of what they are talking about.
As far as playability, Finished. As far as content, not.
The way I see it, they were probably placed on a deadline by microsoft and could only get out the bare minimum at launch. The same happened to Diablo 3. The game will get added to and improved on as time progresses. All the other Halos did.
Sort of, I hope it isn’t like the ps3 and skyrim where Bethesda knew about the errors but thought only a few would be effected. And I’m talking about how only 4 mp maps work for me, as well as 7 campaign and 0 spartan ops.

There’s a difference between being unfinished and not having all the features you want. But I would agree it’s missing some features it really should have had.

Nope. Im having a blast playing. Campaign was awesome. Multiplayer is a hoot. Spartan ops is… Eh ok. Forge is fine for me. All and all a finished product in my opinion.

What does everyone not seem to understand about the concept of pre-launch playlists? I agree the Forge maps are small but people do forge on them. You cannot expect a massive update to the game post-launch. They are adding SWAT this week and they’ll add more gametypes as they go.

When your told things will be in the game and they arent its unfinished. i remember the days when 343i talked about custom game options and how they are fully customizable and blah blah blah. sorry but this game is 3 steps back and 1 step forward.
when previous games have better things then the current game thats taking steps backwards.

If a bike doesn’t have a fancy bell and streamers is it, by your standards, unfinished? No because you can see the finished whole of the bike, ride it, take it off sweet jumps, and prove to youself that the bike is a bike despite the lack of a couple niceties. The same should be true with Halo. You can power through the campaign, mix it up in multiplayer, forge until your heart’s content, and take it off sweet jumps (or the gaming equivalent there of). It doesn’t have the clicky-clacks in the spokes, I’ll grant you, but then again I’ll argue that it didn’t need them to begin with to be a good game. And if 343 had to cut those because they made the wheels fall off (one way or another, as we must assume) then I’m not going to hold it against them that they prioritized the bike before the accessories.
sorry but if you buy a bike that is amazing in every way then promised that and more for the new bike and dont receive what was promised thats a slap in the face to the customers and the community.

Agreed! The SP is finished but when it comes to MP… Everything that made the game fun is missing. Heck the only way to find file shares is by searching for the GamerTag in question. Honestly 343 should have reached out to the forge community to add in some other features. * cough * Forge Hub…
The Game is finished, they just left their self a big window to add and change things. Right now they figure out what they wanna put in next. This is pretty smart if you ask me. Sure there need to be made some more improvement with the servers but that always happen the first weeks after a game release don´t it?
