I can’t co-op with a friend anymore, every time I join a lobby it dashes me out and freezes the whole system. (I have a video I haven’t uploaded yet) This is just standard campaign too. Wtf happened there?
Multiplayer is still broke ( no surprise) annnnd every time you release a patch, it takes up more useless space. Im sorry if I sound “whiney” about all this, but, I paid $60 for a broken game, much like everyone else. It’s been plenty of time to address the issue and fix it. WHY release a game knowing that these problems will exist? Did you not take into consideration that millions of people we’re going to buy this game? Rushed or not, You have not fulfilled your customer service and should be ashamed for that. You can write notes alll day that say “We are sorry for the inconvenience and blah blah blah we are working around the clock to fill your HD will more useless space”. It won’t work.
343, losing my business may not hurt you at all, but, I hope it hurts knowing you embarrassed yourselves for a series of games people have put millions of hours into. I’m sure i’ll be hardcore flamed for this post, and I don’t care. You lost a customer for life. Good luck destroying Halo 5.
Dont forget the input lag with the co-op. To me this is the largest issue in the game at the moment. following closely is the playlists skipping levels and the achievements not unlocking. Personally i think these should be priority over the MM stuff at the moment, because it SHOULD be an easier fix than the MM stuff and it can keep people busy in the meantime… i mean thats 4 games worth of story/co-op…
The campaign didn’t really lag at all for us, a few moments but nothing game breaking. I can’t even get my friend in my lobby it freezes both the consoles. It’s pathetic.
At this point, Ive just come to realize that people complain no matter the game. Happend back with H3…Reach, Battlefield 3, Mw3, Destiny…This.
And there are always people threatning to return the game or never buy another one or to attempt to file a lawsuite.
Every. Game.
I’m pretty easy going with current games. I’m aware a lot of them have issues. That still doesn’t give an excuse for how long this has taken to fix. I’ve played Halo since it’s birth and there was plenty of issues then. Bungie didn’t mess around when it came to fixing games. H3, Reach, never took this long to address an issue. It’s become a “thing” for games to break at launch, I never usually buy games at launch. I NEVER had a problem with this game until this patch (besides Multiplayer) and I could care less for the most part. I just want to legendary co-op the campaigns. People will -Yoink- no matter what. I couldn’t fathom enough evidence to file a lawsuit. I’ll just let this game forever rot on the dusty shelves of Gamestop.

You are probably mis-remembering that. Every game developer has people crying no matter what. And the thing about matchmaking today compared to back then is how much more complicated it is. They have new systems as well as a whole bunch of new technoligly to work with. Xbl is now used for more than just playing games so that has to be a hard thing to work with.
343i have already put out several patches and are saying they are working on many problems. That’s fast work. Or at least it is to me. No ones life will be ruined if they cannot play this game perfectly fine right now.
I’m pretty sure you’re not getting how the gaming industry and publishing as a practice is carried out. It is Microsoft that enforces the release date. They, in all likelihood, knew the game was unfinished ahead of time, but they still stuck to the H2 anniversary release date because releasing a bug filled game and patching it up later gets their money for the scheduled dates and so on and so forth. You’re pinning far too much blame on 343i, who knew what was going to happen and had to hope for the best. Just the same way how EA forced DICE to release a broken BF4, the same exact situation is going on here. It’s because the practice of releasing buggy games sooner rather than releasing a polished product much later doesn’t generate as much money for them, and neither does it give them a solid piece of advertisement capital. It’s deemed an acceptable practice by publishers, because the community fallback and lashback they receive from incomplete games doesn’t even begin to rival the amount of money they already have off us. That’s how it is, unfortunately, and there isn’t a whole lot we can do about it. Blaming it all on the game devs without a seconds thought isn’t going to help either.
I completley agree with you. 343 should give us some kind of compensation for this. At least a “I survived the Launch” medal or something cause this is outrageous. Only pure fan boys are continuing to defend this company.
