Letting us continually search to finally find a game, doesn’t fix the major problems IN matchmaking. Like being able to kick the opposing team if you happen to get “party leader”. Or joining in with a group, finding a match and being split up to the opposite side. 2 on your team, 2 on the other.
Take down the servers, fix the problems and turn them back on. Its basically like they are turned off right now anyway. Put out a message saying you’re taking down the servers for emergency maintenance and do what needs to be done. Its been almost 24 hours since the launch in USA/Canada and I’ve found 7 games. I’ve also been online trying to search for well over 14 hours.
If we get enough upvotes/comments we can get 343 to see this and consider it an option. We just need a large portion of the community to agree and let them take the servers down to do what they need to.

Surely the servers are better left up instead so we can constantly provide feedback on their patching efforts.
Like it or not, there was no open beta so we’re all pretty much testing their software for them.
It amuses me to think of all the players that leap to the conclusion that 343 and their partners know what the problem is and are fixing it.
It is much more likely that they need to figure out exactly what isn’t working before fixing it.
