Let me start off by saying that Reach NEEDS ranks. And I mean proper ranks, like in Halo 3 (a progressive skill system, just like 1-50). Without these ranks, the Halo franchise IS going to fail. The current ranking system is, quite frankly, awful. Let me tell you why the 1-50 system is far superior.
- There is an incentive to actually win games.
- It adds a competitive aspect to the game.
- It allows players to match with people of their skill level.
- Games are inevitably more fun, as they are much fairer.
- It can work in CONJUNCTION with the current ranking system.
- It will actually show a players skill, not just how they have played.
And those are just the reasons off the top of my head. PLEASE 343, I am begging you, re-introduce the 1-50 system. It will bring so many people back to Reach, and stop so many people from quitting. Please.
