343 question?

do you think 343 kindve knew about the bugs and matchmaking errors before the game actually released because they do test servers, couldn’t they have seen the bugs? The day one patch was to install the other half of the mcc, right? Could this have been prevented? What do you guys think? (No hate) ps happy Veterans Day, thank you to the brave ones who served.

Pretty sure a lot of people claim that this has been a known problem ever since people got ahold of it earlier this week for various reasons

I think that the multiplayer issues are to be expected. This is a massive launch. However some of the other bugs I have seen seem like they could’ve been prevented, like the achievement and lobby bugs. Just my opinion, I’m sure this whole situation is very complex.

I agree because it is 4 games in 1 it isn’t like cod when you have only 1 multiplayer for 1 game, this is 1 game with 4 multiplayers, I think honestly a type of server browser or extensive testing or even pushing the release date would’ve solved this. Im sure 343 is putting their heart and soul into these problems, it is always darkest before the dawn.

I work in software, albeit not in gaming industry, but I can tell you first hand how hard testing/QA stuff is. There’s a running joke among developers:

“99 little bugs in the code. 99 bugs in the code. Take one down, patch it around, 117 little bugs in the code.”

It’s possible that their day one patch caused some/most/all of this, that could’ve been partially unforeseen.

Let’s just hope it all gets resolved soon.

That’s possible software guy, but do you think a sever browser could’ve helped find matches, making servers (dedicated) kindve like battlefields?

Well dedicated servers are always nice when they work. I’ll leave it at that.

Agreed.
