Self entitled ignorant arrogant kids… is what a small fraction of the Halo fanbase is. Unfortunately most of them post here @ Waypoint. I’m over reading them try and speak for everyone stating, “AA are what decreased the population”. I could care less if they ever played Halo again… and the MLG wanna be somebodies left…
I can imagine being a game developer like 343 and seeing a post from a man -Yoink- “I’m Disappointed”… Has it ever occurred to you that nobody cares what you think? Perhaps people got into the business for selfish reasons and good for them as thats how it should be. “Disappointed”… what a joke.
In Halo 3 w/ the million online @ any given time the majority of those were casuals I hope most realize this…
343i needs to stop and reevaluate their position on Halo. Halo has never been about making money. It has been about an amazing fanbase and the game sticking to it’s roots and supporting the community.

Bungie made their games for THEMSELVES (because THEY liked to play them)… 343 should do the same. Not listen to you, “I’m going to cry if you don’t make it exactly how I want”.

I understand when somebody says there dissapointed, but when 3/4 of the Halo 4 community doesn’t agree with any of the add-on’s or changes they made. The I would start to rethink what im doing. What there doing is not a bad idea, but its not what Halo is. I played Halo since day 1 and loved every second of it. I have fun with everygame including Halo Wars and Reach. Every Halo game has its own personality.
Halo CE - Pizza Party Campaign Nights
Halo 2 - Laughing Multiplayer
Halo 3 - Awsome Forge and Custom Game laughs
Halo Wars - Very technical and fun in its own way
Halo 3 ODST - Hours of fun and B.S on Firefight
Halo Reach - Multiplayer has AA’s. Unigue in its own way. Not the best thing but it worked, its fun. I enjoy it.
Halo 4 will be a mixture of everything, some of the Die Hard Halo fans like myself, I have figures, books, collectables, and so more are really not sure about the changes. What we the Halo 4 community needs to do is, calm down a bit. Take a deep breath and think, go over all the stuff that was leaked and find a way to make it fun for us. And untill 343 has is allowed to post multiplayer footage, campaign trailers, and gameplay. That’s when we can say hey that actually looks pretty cool or say, thats dumb as beans.
We really say that anything is good or bad untill we actually see it being played. Going to the vidoc we saw I didn’t see a jetpack, hologram, or anything like Reach’s. Guys 343 aren’t idiots. I believe that when they see these threads keep the changes they have now, BUT put in old school halo as well. Gives people more of a veriety to play and we can all have fun for years, well at least untill Halo 5.

While I agree the backlash to this information is a little over extensive, the flood of threads criticizing those who are critical and or speculative is getting ridiculous. This meta forum stuff doesn’t make the situation any better.
I will agree to a certain extent with the OP though, there is far too much “I’m cancelling my pre order of call of duty Halo 4”, it serves these forums no good. This place is turning into b.net before Reach’s launch faster then I had feared.

I think the, “Core” of Halo will still be there. Which to me the core is, “Team shooting dependency”, getting / hanging on to power weapons.

What you dont seem to get though is that even the Halo 4 community as a whole is only a fraction of the entire halo community so listening to the 3/4s is still listening to the minority of the community.
