343 plz read- How 2 make H4 fun 4 old fans

Alright I found a way to make halo H4 more fun. It includes bringing back CLASSIC gametypes and putting them in most playlists. They did this for Reach so why cant they do it for H4? H4 definitely needs it because of its current low population and so many fans leaving the franchise. So you gotta make 2 gametypes which is Classic Slayer BRs,Classic Slayer (where you spawn with an AR/Pistol, and Classic Slayer DMRs. Put these gametypes in Castle DLC, Team Objective, Capture the Flag, Dominion, Team Doubles, Multi Team, Rumble Pit, and Regicide. Also Rename Big Team Infinity Slayer to Big Team Battle where they can choose Infinity Slayer or Classic Slayer Gametypes. Now Im no pro game designer or Forger but I will try to make these gametypes as best as I can. Make Classic Slayer BRs pop up 75% of the time and put it all the way to the left just like how you did with Team Doubles and other gametypes to the right. Also a Classic Playlist should be in Matchmaking to but all Classic Gametypes MUST be in most playlists and pop up 100% of the time. Make sure that Classic Slayer BRs always pops up all the way to the left and Classic Slayer to the middle and Infinity Slayer to the Right. This will have old fans returning and make H4 alot more fun. Also do NOT make it a playlist. That’s not what we want. We want it in almost every playlist so we can play them as much as possible. This thread cant be ignored! Classic Gametypes need to return and Old Halo fans cannot be ignored either!

Now these should be the loadout for Classic Slayer BRs-
Starting Weapon- Battle Rifle
Secondary Weapon- Pistol
Grenades- 2x Frags
Tactical Mod- Resupply
Support Mod- Explosives
Motion Tracker On

I’ve been playing Halo since day one of the release of CE and I think Halo 4 is the best one thus far. I hate classic playlists because I can’t stand recycling old crap. I am finished playing the same game for 10 years.

It’s about time Bungie changed the game with Reach and 343 continuing to expand it. Halo feels like it is finally moving forward with Reach and Halo 4.

Agreed. One does not simply duplicate the Halo 2 or Halo 3 experience, you will never have that same feeling ever again.

I don’t mind if someone has a different opinion, but if they have no facts to defend their opinion then I’m not going to respect it.

Halo 4 is significantly worse in almost all areas than Halo 3 and Reach.

Halo 4’s campaign was good at showing the changing dynamic between the Chief and Cortana and essentially unveiling Chiefs Humanity. Other than that, Halo 3’s campaign is far greater. The game-play is less stale, you have more interesting missions and it’s overall more fun than Halo 4.

Halo 3 has the best Custom Games too, Halo 4’s Custom Games are appalling. The fact that you can’t even disable sprint is a joke.

Halo Reach has the best Forge, although the colour scheme was rather bland atleast with Reach’s Forge (nearly) anything was possible. Halo 4’s Forge is restricted, you couldn’t even Forge near water until Forge Island. That came out 5 months after Halo 4’s release.

Halo 3 has the best Theatre Mode. Multiple players could watch film clips together and you could watch anything from: Campaign, Custom Games, Forge and Firefight (ODST).

Halo 2 (3 arguably), has the best Multi-Player. Both 2 and 3 had high learning curves, and were relatively balanced Arena Shooters. Reach was unpopular in comparison to both 2 and 3. What did 343i decide to do? Not bring the game back to its roots, but drive it further away from them.

Spoken like a fan of the Halo series, who doesn’t want it to become another generic FPS.

I wouldn’t mind if you defended the game and had evidence to back up your points. But you don’t, and it almost seems like 343i defenders say things just to get a reaction.

So do I. It has some flaws, needs some refinements of its core additions, but in general the game structure is sound.

Here’s the cool thing people can have different opinions. But you can’t say that someone’s opinion is null and void because it does not match yours.

Reach’s CEA multiplayer brought classic game types to Reach. I believe it was a pretty faithful recreation of olden times. I found it to be slow, plodding and one dimensional. I always switched back to the regular Reach gameplay after a few classic games.

Halos 1-3 were great for their times and I don’t knock 'em. But how many people play the NES version of Super Mario anymore? Things get old and outdated… I hope 343 manages to keep the Combat Evolving while catering to some of the more nostalgic old timers.

This is exactly the logic that got so many players wanting a classic playlist in the position they are now. How on earth do you not understand that.

What if 343i woke up one day and made the entire game a classic playlist? How would you feel?

Well that’s how we feel. There needs to be equal compensation for both groups.

It’ll never happen because and all classic game would kill Halo forever.

Bungie tried it with Reach and they even made the statement regarding it. 343 is trying it right now with Team Throwdown and guess what? It is one of the lowest if not THE lowest population in the game.

What the few here fail to comprehend is that the MAJORITY do not want the same game over and over again. They want new ways to play. Like me the majority expect new content and new ways to play with new installments of a long standing franchise.

It always amazes me how COD gets so much flak for being pretty much the same with every release and yet Halo is somehow exempt from this mentality.

Dude, Halo 3 BTB has like 15 people in it and when the Halo 2 severs were still going, it was nowhere close to what Reach had. The only time the population went up was when it was announced it would be shutting down and even then, the population was still low.

And now I come to this. If Halo 3 is soooooooooooo much better, then why are there not more people still playing it? And don’t give me that garbage that people stop because it’s old. People continue to play things that are good.
