It was a breath of fresh air for me to log on after learning of this change that you might have finally figured out how to balance these inputs. I just got done with my first match after not having played many FPS in the past 6 months, and even longer on MKB, but man… What an improvement!
My accuracy stats were nearly at the levels I would expect when I’m playing on a controller. I’m sure with a few more warm up games, I might actually achieve parity between the two! Consider me impressed. I wasn’t sure this day would even come, or if a good solution even existed.
As an additional point of feedback, I’d like to say that I’ve (shockingly) noticed virtually no negative impact on my MKB muscle memory. It seems like this solution retains all the benefits and good feels that a mouse should have, while also making it competitive when you need to track enemy players with your BR and they’re strafing back and forth.
Furthermore, I’d recommend keeping the aim assist in it’s current state. I’ve heard that it’s bugged right now, that perhaps it’s too sticky, or it’s tracking players a bit when it shouldn’t? But, screw it. Keep the bugged implementation. It feels great and initially seems to be pretty well balanced. It feels good to finally have my confidence back while playing on MKB. Anytime I used the input before, I had to play timid af. Basically playing only as a support role because I couldn’t reliably take anyone on directly. Those days are over. Thank God!
Oh. And do the same for MCC plz! Can’t wait to play that game as god intended as well! Ty!
