343, PLZ keep the MKB aim assist at current levels!

It was a breath of fresh air for me to log on after learning of this change that you might have finally figured out how to balance these inputs. I just got done with my first match after not having played many FPS in the past 6 months, and even longer on MKB, but man… What an improvement!

My accuracy stats were nearly at the levels I would expect when I’m playing on a controller. I’m sure with a few more warm up games, I might actually achieve parity between the two! Consider me impressed. I wasn’t sure this day would even come, or if a good solution even existed.

As an additional point of feedback, I’d like to say that I’ve (shockingly) noticed virtually no negative impact on my MKB muscle memory. It seems like this solution retains all the benefits and good feels that a mouse should have, while also making it competitive when you need to track enemy players with your BR and they’re strafing back and forth.

Furthermore, I’d recommend keeping the aim assist in it’s current state. I’ve heard that it’s bugged right now, that perhaps it’s too sticky, or it’s tracking players a bit when it shouldn’t? But, screw it. Keep the bugged implementation. It feels great and initially seems to be pretty well balanced. It feels good to finally have my confidence back while playing on MKB. Anytime I used the input before, I had to play timid af. Basically playing only as a support role because I couldn’t reliably take anyone on directly. Those days are over. Thank God!

Oh. And do the same for MCC plz! Can’t wait to play that game as god intended as well! Ty!

Parity, not parody. Otherwise, glad to see you enjoy it. I think it could use some improvements, but i’d not be upset if it didn’t change.

What improvements are needed?

As a controller player - the aim assist at its current state or what ever change they have made to MnK it is okay with me!

Merry Xmas!

Give us cross platform options and we might have a deal.

Currently I feel up close aiming is pretty balanced between the two inputs, but mouse will always aim better at a distance. The issue with aim assist and balancing is that in most games with it controller dominates at close range but can’t compete at a distance. That’s how it plays out in CoD. Before with the negative aim assist with sniping weapons that wasn’t necessarily the case. It’s a tough thing to balance perfectly. And it’s why I think cross play should always be optional.

I personally like the changes. I use a controller, but my friends with MnK are actually willing to play again, and that’s what matters most to me. Is that I can enjoy the game with them. Regardless of which input is better. I still play to win of course, but I was never the best player, and I feel the aggressive SBMM hurts the experience more then anything else. But again, I understand why people want cross play optional and I support that.

It’s not made the game any harder for me, so I don’t mind it! Controller PC player here, for what it’s worth.
