EDIT: Due to popular request, I’m updating the OP with the list of things that are missing from Halo 5 that were in previous Halo games.
Large lack of Custom Games options
Large lack of Gametypes to choose from
No Theater for Campaign (I’ve heard that Theater for Multiplayer also has features missing from it that were in past games. Can someone confirm?)
Lack of any playable Elites or even Prometheans of any kind or etc in multiplayer.
Lack of Firefight or suitable offline mode besides Campaign (Warzone, while I’m sure is good, is not a suitable replacement for it as it can’t be played offline.)
No Forge at launch (And yes, I know they’re going to deliver it in December but I don’t understand why it had to be delayed at all.)
Cannot play Custom Games offline by yourself
There seems to be much fewer new weapons/grenades/etc. in this game than were introduced in previous games. But I could be mistaken.
The only thing left to do when the Campaign is finished is to play Matchmaking. And even that is very limited right now due to the sparse gametypes and maps we currently have.

Its the modern day gaming industry. They release unfinished games, then sell you the rest of it in DLC to get more $$$ out of you. Think about it. You pay full retail, then every quarter of the year, drop a few more pieces of content that should of launched with the game for 15 bucks or more. By the end, you basically buy 2 games worth, for the price of 1. They win, you lose. Welcome to the 21st century of BS.

Dear concerned Halo community. I dont work for 343, but i’m pretty sure that they released Halo 5 with some content missing because they wanted to release a game that worked. Remember when the MCC came out with everything in it and you couldn’t find a multiplayer game for a month. 343 is playing it safe because they care about us. Its not because alot of games are shipping that way on purpose. In addition, they told us that forge would be releasing in December as a free service for everyone. FREE. -Simon

I’m pretty sure that the reason why its free is because other people are basically paying for us with micro-transactions.

So… a lot of modes in Arena that have traditionally rotated in and out of the lineup and were not available to play most of the time?

I will update the OP with a list. Here’s what I will be listing so far:
Large lack of Custom Games options
