I know you get this thread all the time but 343 you really need to read this and think about what you just did to the game! You guys talked about making Halo halo before you started created and i really think you guys did a great job on your first game but you guys really missed some key elements of the game. You said you to appeal the game for both competitive and casual player but you based it off of more of reach and appealed to the casuals with very large maps! the only decent good sized maps for infinity slayer are soloace,abandon,adrift, and haven!
but you forgot to some major key factors i mean its not even about MLG or anything your missing important core fundamentals of the game in general and i will list some!
-the indicator below the players name! it should change colors when he is getting shot i mean how can you even have a slayer pro with no radar and no coloring change indicators. That is important because how am i suppose to know someone is getting shot. And there is no X where the person on your team dies either!
-Ranking system is a major one it is a given fact it was in all of the Halo games. And why should we have to log on to waypoint just to look at it. Don’t you think we could atleast have something like see our rank in game but nobody else’s atleast. You guys really aren’t preventing cheating by refusing ranks because people are modding guns to shoot warthog gauss carbines. Without a rank i have no reason to want to play a game. Sure maybe its call to play and earn credits for armor but if there is no rank system im basically playing for armor which can get boring. I mean us competitive players don’t care if you appeal to the casuals but what about us? what about a social/ranked playlist Halo3. That way casual play social all they want and people who like the multiplayer can play ranked. Its not fair that the casual have to get stomped on by us!
I guarantee if you atleast fixed these things alot more people would be playing. When Halo4 first came out it had about 250k player each for just bigteam slayer and infinity slayer and now look at your numbers! like 25-30k for both bigteam slayer and infinity slayer. are you really going to be satisfied with those numbers? It isnt that hard to appeal to both casual and competitive players. Halo3 did it!
I know you promised a title update soon but i personally wouldnt care if i had to wait until march for settings like this!
some other things that need to be fixed like:
-the option to disable sprint in custom games
-disable instant spawn for infinity slayer on customs games
-flinch needs to be replaced with being zoomed back out when you get shot!
-being able to drop the flag on ctf if i don’t want it anymore that is really ridiculous. i don’t care that i can pickup and not drop it really fast but i should at least be able to put it down if i don’t want it!
Some of us like the old Halo feel!
I really would appreciate if you guys please looked this over and actually decided to discuss these key elements. We really wouldn’t mind waiting another month for a title update if it fixed things like that!
