343 PLEASE READ THIS ARTICLE!

So, lately, I’ve been looking through a lot of my armors and I realized that 90% of my armors are only detailed with only half on one side of the armor is detailed for the secondary paint scheme on armor and out right just gets me kinda mad. Take MK VI for example. The stripe on the left side of the chest plate only has the stripe but the right side doesn’t. So, I don’t want to come off as rude, but I’m highly sighting to please implement a feature on armor where you can mirror one side of the armor to make it look complete. Because comparing both from halo 4, it’s stripes look almost similar to the counter part from halo 5. So please add a mirroring feature on armor to complete the look on other armors. Also, add more customization features like in halo 4. Where you can have a custom armors.

I agree with your post. I think 343 has to create so many armors (to make money with the REQ system) that it’s more of a quantity over quality thing now.

It is very much a quantity over quality deal now, with Visors, Armors, and Helmets. I’m down to all legendary certifications, grinding that RP for Phaeton Helios Cert, Nornfang Cert, etc. However I keep getting ugly ultra-rare and legendary helmet after ugly ultra-rare and legendary helmet. I’ve become so frustrated that if I had a steady income, I’d probably give in and do what 343 wants: pay money to skip some of the grind.

As I’ve said before. Microtransactions are not “optional”. They change the way a game is designed, both for unlocks and the way the game plays. Just as Arcades changed the way games are designed in order to keep players dropping coins in to the machines.

Don’t support them, and voice your disapproval.

I have not spent any money on REQs nor will I ever. I just don’t see the point in buying something that you can naturally get by playing the game over time.

I like a lot of the asymmetric armor decals…

does the armour in this halo 5 do anthing or is it cosmetic

Armor has no effect on Halo 5’s gameplay.

no worries’ thankyou for the reply

All the armor varients make it harder and take longer to unlock all/rarest Reqs. This was probably not the goal of the Req system, but in the long run, it can help with money managment, and just help understanding what you should spend on.

Microtransactions shouldn’t exist in console games, (my opinion.) It’s tacky, it’s like holding your hand out perpetually for things we used to just pay for upfront and then unlock through gameplay. I don’t find it particularly bad or game breaking in say, Halo 5 or Destiny…but it’s still somewhat insulting and annoying after buying hundreds in hardware and then 30-60$ in software depending on how new it was (or more if you got some Legendary edition) and then having them “strip” the game for dollar bills. Pun intended. Yes, microtransactions are akin to leasing oneself out. Trying to avoid saying anything deemed “inappropriate” here, so I’ll leave it at that. It makes sense on mobile platforms where the game was either free or like a 1.99 but in console world it’s insulting and a bad practice, much like pre-order bonuses. Newsflash, guys, games almost never run out of stock anymore, pre-ordering is a way to secure funds before even releasing the product, and it’s a bad gamble on the part of the player. It also promotes half-baked development but I’m getting off topic—so far 343 has shown me they care more about sales and quantity of shiny objects to dangle in front of players, and “ooh look how competitive and modern our gameplay is, we’ve got e-sports and thrusters!” So while they’ve actually managed to impress me for the amount of work theyve done, as a long time critic of theirs, ever since I dropped 100$ on Halo 4 as a sign of good faith and had my hopes crushed, I’ve not been impressed by their artwork design and lack of customization. If you’ll notice, Reach had a relatively small amount of armor in comparison and yet the detail was gorgeous and the configurations endless. I don’t 343 is quite there yet, but I hope they get there.

They should put on more armor and not be so repetitive

I get the feeling that everyone in here has missed the point that the OP was trying to make.

He/she is talking about the fact that a significant amount of the armor skins are asymmetrical… something that bothers me as well.

Nor has it ever had any effect on ANY Halo game before this either…

Yeah I agree but it would be even more better if you can place decals wherever you choose. Such as being able to put flames on any noble team armor to meet your wants.

I never noticed this. I thought it just depended on the armor variant.
