343 please put halo 5 on the Xbox 360! Yes of coarse have it on the Xbox one also but please put it on the 360!
I have decided to but a ps4 due to Microsoft disappointing me with the Xbox one but i will miss halo I mean halo made me a gamer! It make me want to cry too let go of halo and I want to play future halo game or at least halo 5. so 343 I ask of you to put halo 5 on the 360 to service me and the other buying a ps4 and to people who can’t afford a Xbox one for a while, I mean shouldn’t they be able to play their favorite game just because they can’t afford an Xbox one? So everyone please help me get this message to 343 and to the top of the forums, create your own thread about bringing halo 5 to the 360 to spread the message. PLEASE 343!
Well darn… maybe every new God of War game should be released on the PS1 as well. I mean, just because you can’t afford to upgrade to the PS2 doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to play it.
Its a new console generation. They are producing a new consumer product that Halo 5 will be designed to work with… if you choose not to or can’t afford to consume the product, don’t expect the services.
If a game one year into a console’s life span can still be run on the older console, then what was the point of producing the new console? One would hope that Halo 5 will be a significant leap from Halo 4 (which already pushed the 360 pretty hard)
Well battlefield 4 is coming to both Xbox one and 360 so is assassins creed 4 black flag so why can’t 343 make this possible?

Because both were planned to be released right before and alongside the X1. We are talking about a year later, when X1 is well in, and 360 is just there.

Well yes that is true but the 360 is still going to be supported for a few years according to Microsoft so I just don’t see the negatives to making it on the 360 I mean you will please more people

Because Battlefield and Assassins Creed aren’t Microsoft’s flagship franchise
Microsoft needs to get people to the next console.
And Halo 5 is probably going to be about a year after the One’s release. Save up now and you should have it by that time, plus putting it on the 360 will be a setback in focusing on the next generation.
And Halo 5 will most certainly be designed with all the new goodies the One provides, so it will probably be a lot bigger game than what the 360 would efficiently use. To make it on 360 you’d be splitting the team to make two similar Halo 5s, except the 460 one is kind of dumbed down so your console doesn’t explode, freeze, or suffer other problems trying to run a game designed for something better.

Why do you think that Nintendo no longer supports the gamecube?
Why do you think that Sony doesn’t make its games with a PS2 version?
Why do you think Halo 3 wasn’t available on the original Xbox?
You are trying to do consoles. To do that you made a console that is superior to the old one. You make games that are equivalently superior to actually take advantage of the superior console (otherwise what’s the point of having it?). Necessarily you have now exceeded the limitations of the older console.
What is the negative to making your game available on the old console? You would have to produce an inferior game that now offers zero incentive to purchase the new console.
The same thing happened when the PS3 and Xbox 360 came out. Many games that were already in late developement before the consoles were nailed down were simply released for both platforms. It wasn’t long before almost all big releases were current platform exclusive.

You can’t make two versions of the same game. Even if you could, it doesn’t address the fact that you are trying to sell the new console. Just about every single game that will be available on both generations was developed for the current gen consoles and ported to the next gen, not the other way around.
Why would Halo 5 be exempt from the natural progression of every franchise in gaming, and the Halo franchise during the previous console transition?
AS much as I’d love ot see it on 360, It’ll probably end up like how Halo 4 and Battlefield 3 did on consoles…
both had high expectations to meet, but didnt have the power to handle the features its counterparts had, and ended up lacking in MANY futures…
Which just overall took away from the experience… So I’d rather have them focus on the XBOX 1 version then make some sloppy last-gen version at the last minute…
Microsoft’s goal with halo has always been to sell the latest Xbox, its why its on Xbox in the first place.
To not be there to sell the latest Xbox would be counter to halo’s primary goal. You’re asking a company, which is a part of Microsoft, to make the game on their outdate console, so that you can go invest in their competition.
How exactly did Xbone disappoint you? Considering you already prefer it’s exclusives (Halo) I don’t see what’s so attractive about a PS4 in comparison.

I am assuming that the price of the console is what disappointed them.
No, I don’t want Halo to be held back by an inferior console
One they would have to design the game with the out of date 360 in mind thus not making use of the new resources and making the game worse.
Two they would have to then make multiplayer work on the 360 thus taking things out of the game for the damn 360 thus hindering the game further.
Everything would hinder the product in general for both the 360 and the XB1which shouldn’t happen

There’s no way that’ll happen. The X1’s resources and capabilities will outstrip the 360’s by far. The next game will have things that the 360 is literally simply not capable of handling.
