Ok, so this has been a major issue since the game’s launch. The pistol needs to either be a 6 shot kill or make it fire a bit slower. I find that in 95% of the games I play, the entire enemy team will use pistols. I’d rather not be forced to use it, because the AR needs love and so does every other weapon. It’s worse in Warzone. I’m not complaining because lack of skill, I’m an Onyx in 2 playlists, but 343 please nerf the damn pistol.

No, it’s a mini hand cannon. 5 shot kills, and it’s not the Halo 3 Magnum. If you get an entire enemy team using it, you’re -Yoinked!-.

Well, I’m sorry that every match, I get spammed by the pistol due to lack of skill. I’m damn good at the game and I have the stats to back that up, however, this pistol needs to be toned down. Didn’t they do that with DMR in Halo 4? Look, I like the pistol, but entire teams can wreck your -Yoink- because they have a mini-DMR.

BR is a 4 shot, and can outgun pistols, so if your team is decent and they use BR’s they can win, sorry but I dont buy the whole you have a mini DMR, plus everyone spawns with one.
I have faith in 343 that they will not nerf all the fun and balanced aspects of Halo. If anything it needs to have more range and maybe better scope. A 4 or 3-shot would be nice. If the M6D that is being added was implemented into Matchmaking “as the starting weapon”, it would most likely be the most popular choice.

Don’t confuse “lack of skill” with team having the ability to defeat players. I feel like TheBritishCat just wants more protection with other weapons to make him feel better at the game when in reality the game just isn’t very balanced that way. It’s like The Official BR Starts Thread all over again, haha. 343 gave us what you want, a weaker yet balanced starting weapon that still promotes map movement and weapon pickups.

The pistol is fine, it is no mini-DMR. I have had plenty of fun and have had no trouble with the magnum.

FYI, everyone gets an Onyx in FFA and Swat, not sure if that validates your argument. What type a game do you want? A game where people just spray an AR and have rainbows on the map with Unicorns riding on it?
Halo has, and will be always centered around a precision utility weapon. The DMR, LR, BR, and Carbine beat out the pistol. This game might be the most balanced Halos in regards to weapons. The Storm Rifle might be one of the best weapons in this game, way better than the AR and Suppressor. But the AR and Suppressor are very effective close range and so are both shotguns.

Pistol definitely needs to be nerfed. I can easily say that I am not the most skilled player, but going into a game and immediately being killed by the other team with pistols is very annoying. Switching the BR to be the primary weapon instead of the AR would be a better way to combat the overpowered magnum.

Pistol is fine, if you don’t like getting dominated by it get better, you too spawn with a pistol it i snot the guns fault that you are not skilled with it.

What bizarre moon logic is this? The BR is objectively easier to use than the Magnum. The Magnum is overpowered, so the solution is that every single person spawns with a weapon with the same perfect kill time, more range, and the leeway afford by burst fire (sweep the head)? Or, I don’t know, maybe you should just use the Magnum if you’re getting killed by the Magnum? Or pick up a different precision weapon on map? What “problem” would this solve?
Seems like people want to make the pistol completely worthless either because they don’t want to use it (“it’s a side arm. It should suck!”) or because they are bad and don’t like getting killed by it. It isn’t a problem. Stahp.
