I think they need more non-forge arena maps? How many is there now? I think there is around 13-14 non-forge ranked arena maps. Also I wish there were 10 Warzone maps instead of 7, 10 would feel more complete.
They should release a paid Free/Paid DLC expansion, it would have 5 new non-forge arena maps and the paid aspect would be 3 new warzone maps and a new playlist called Huge Team Battle, it will basically be a 12 vs 12 BTB playlist on the Warzone maps, they can edit the layout of the 7 Warzone maps and convert them to big team battle maps and they could also add an additional 5 non-forge big team battle maps. This would be great., then the current BTB playlist can have 50 forge maps added to it.
These are all only wishes, I hope they do something like this for 1 more major content update.
I like where your head’s at… Although this seems like a lot for one update. I’d say split this into 3 updates, $10 apiece… I’d gladly pay it.
The Forgeable WZ maps for BTB is a cool idea, pretty sure I’ve thought about this as well, but I’m not too sure how well it would actually work in some cases… Some of the map layouts are pretty strange and would be awkward to segment effectively for BTB.
Either way, I think we can both agree that the game needs more content, particularly in terms of maps. Gametypes too. The lack of KOTH and Oddball is inexcusable…
Even though I like the idea with Huge Team Battle, we still have to consider that the REQ cards are monetised. The reason we have the REQ packs was supposedly to “fund future content”. For anyone that took their word on it would get a slap on the face. I just think that they should wait a couple of months and release a behemoth update so players would get the content that somewhat resemble paid downloadable content drops that previous halo games had. To split the community is just a bad design decision from the start, and to go as far away from that as possible is in my opinion the best thing they can do.
I strongly disagree with people selling maps as they’re not worth it to me, same if they do start selling game modes as well. 343 already made their path for h5, they’d just be asking for it if they start selling dlc after 8 months of free drops. If they’re going to sell dlc, it has to be real new content that doesn’t involve maps and previous game modes.

It would just lead to a division of the people playing into paid players and non dlc players into seperate playlists.
Im sick of dlc in multiplayer games often not getting to play the dlc because no body has it over time. I liked halo 4’s dlc more than I did did the majority of halo 5s dlc but at least every one has it. The only reason I stopped playing halo 4 was cause there was no good playlist any more and all the dlc was unplayable.
I would honestly rather pay for maps that are actually better than average because the maps in this game just aren’t memorable. Stasis and Molten are alright, but just don’t stack up to previous Halo’s maps.
I bought the digital deluxe copy of the game months after the release. As a player/customer, I personally would not drop another penny into this game given on-going server instability issues and missing popular game modes. 343i management made some rather poor business decisions and I’m opting to vote with my wallet.
The MCC fiasco and the above noted items with Halo 5 have really irritated me. I’m on the fence whether I will be getting Halo 6 at all.
As another player posted above, paid DLC for map packs will (and always have) splinter the community.

My Xbox hardrive is suffering enough…Halo 5 is killing it.
No. Paid DLC would defeat the point of the whole micro transaction model - to make sure everyone has all the maps to compete on. I want maps that aren’t remixes and I want some BTB maps that aren’t forge, but I don’t want to unnecessarily fragment the community. I would be curious to see how the micro transactions compare to map packs in terms of revenue. If, even after funding the HCS, they have significantly more revenue I would really appreciate some more original maps.
343’s philosophy going into Halo 5 was to stop the splintering of the community that happened in the past with paid DLC map packs. DLC playlists wouldn’t get played, but not enough people had map packs to have them show up in matchmaking. I don’t think 343 would reverse that philosophy for Halo 5 at this stage. If any new content drops, it will more than likely be free and accessible to all that own the game
They should do a “classic update” with with a proper classic playlist with forged remakes, some classic gametypes put into normal matchmaking like Oddball and KOTH, a new Arena map that is a complete remake/redesign with the new movement features taken into account, maybe a Warzone map set on a Halo ring.
I think paid DLC is completely the wrong way to go especially now, they should continue with the free updates, we aren’t even a year into Halo 5’s lifecycle, I think we will see the true benefit of them in H6, can’t see that launching without what we have now.
The ONLY way I would be okay with a paid DLC is if it were a campaign expansion.
Halo is now infected with micro transactions, it’s now one of “those” games. But the tradeoff is that we don’t have to buy new MP content.
To add in paid content after having gone the micro transactions route would be unacceptable, an insult to the consumers, and I can’t believe anyone could actually think it’s a good idea.
You guys do realize an update the size of or larger than Warzone Fireifight will never happen right? I think future updates made by 343i will be more in line with Infinity’s Armory or even Hog Wild. Maybe we’ll see a new map or gametype, we’ll definitely see new weapons with the plasma launcher in the game (sort of), and of course we’ll see updates to forge, arena playlists, and other stuff we see in the average updates
Don’t expect anything larger than Infinity’s Armory (third smallest update after Shadow & Light and Hog Wild.)
And they will not be paid DLC. Stop asking for something so stupid.
