343 Please Keep Thrust Jumps and Other Trick Jumps

Please keep these thrust jumps and other sort of trick jumps in Halo for the rest of its duration. They are fun to pull off and they widen the skill gap. For example, on Regret you can use the pillars to thrust jump to the top ramp. On Colosseum you can thrust jump to top mid off the inclines below the bridge. On Fathom you can use the edge of the ramp to thrust jump to top mid. You can also use stabilizer to make taller jumps with clamber on countless maps which makes it even cooler to traverse the map.

Why would they remove them exactly?

As long as they don’t add on to the jet pack idea and make them more mandatory for gameplay, I’m good. If they remove trick jumps that’s cool too. As long as thrusters don’t become more significant.

Maybe because all of the CoD coping new moving mechanics, as well as all the other mistakes and blunders that they have made recently has killed off the vast majority of there fan base. if you look back to the height of Halo in Halo 3 they sold over 12 mil, now they are struggling to even reach half of the number. If Halo will ever be great again they have to go back to their roots.

I don’t really think jumping and thrusting requires skill lol

They would only remove them if they cause an imbalance. What you mentioned is ok as far as I know, so no reason to remove.

There are some pretty sick thrust and stabilize jumps you can do in halo 5.

You know thruster packs started in halo 4… that was before any CoD had teh acclaimed boost jump. Unless I stand corrected, Halo was known to have thrusters in it, over a year before we even got a cod TEASER with thrusters in it. So dont lie and say it is copying cod. All 343 did was take something they had an expanded upon it. Lets face it, “going back to its roots” will not help it. Its an era that isnt here anymore. Regardless, halo hit its prime, and its declining. its just not as popular. What makes it even worse is that its only on ONE console.

Going back to basics can’t hurt Halo anymore than continuing down the generic FPS scene that it is currently on. And, while Halo 4 had thrusters first, the way that they were implemented in Halo 5 is too reminiscent of Advanced Warfare to be a coincidence. But that is my opinion.
