im writing this in hope that someone in 343 sees it and gets where im coming from. halo 3 and reach both had public betas and halo reach had the biggest beta ever. it would kind of make sense to do one for halo 4 as it is probably going to sell lots as its basically a new beginning kind of thing for the halo franchise. just saying 343 please give us one.
One will be up this summer I bet
What’s a public bata? I’ve heard of beta.
I’m pretty sure they’ll give us a beta sometime in the spring or early summer.
They can’t not give us one, they’re not idiots, and if they don’t give us a beta, it’s a sign that Multiplayer will be messy.
But I trust 343 to deliver good
Frankie said during the Halo 4 panel at PAX that a beta would be release and it would be widely accessible to players, but it wouldn’t be with Anniversary. I’m assuming there might be something released on Waypoint later to download the demo.

Yet so many popular franchises have released MP games or even MP based games without Betas OR Demos and still hold high ranks in terms of quality over quantity of time.
Also, yeah give us a beta so all the “fanboys” can wait a year before they ask for a title update and “go back to the roots”.
sigh

Very true indeed, but a lot of players are going to want to see what the MM is like, because Reach certainly has made many nervous, And Betas are good to give back feedback.
It has always been an effective way to test for bugs and balancing issues. There’s no reason they wouldn’t release one as they have done so for Halo 3 and Reach; they will do for Halo 4. It’s just a question of when.
The problem with players perception of betas is that they see it as a chance to play the game early rather then to test the game to make it better.
In one of the Halofest 2011 panels Frankie said they currently didn’t have any plans for an open Halo 4 beta. That is subject to change of course, but I wouldn’t count on a public beta happening.

You’re missing a big “IF” in their. He said they don’t have plans but if they do have one it’ll be widely available.
I’m probably the only person on Earth that doesn’t want a beta. The community is what makes Halo but it’s also what ruins Halo too. Everything in the beta would be fast paced powerful and just awesome and they’ll have to nerf everything because kids that can barely walk in the game complain that awesome things are way tooo awesome. Not to add that you get an early taste of the game and it isn’t as exciting when it actually releases.
Yeah, they’ll have a beta, hopefully very soon. I know a guy who is working on a build for the Halo 4 beta. I totally can’t wait.
It’s spelled Beta…with an “e”

Lols
The beta should be out for 2 months. And should be accessed though HaloWaypoint Xbox version. That way more people can play it total, and more feedback for the game can be tracked and sent in.

A lot of people already do this.
TBH I’d prefer a campaign demo, so we can rate how successfully 343 are capturing the mood of enigmatic exploration and how seriously they’re taking the character development.

yes but I guess your speaking about call of duty well people will buy cod weather it has good multiplayer or bad theres always something about cod that people will buy zombies, spec ops, multiplayer.
Alot of the best games had betas to help them get better for example battlefield 3, gears of war 3, halo 3 and reach but reach was still bad. Also star wars the old republic and assassins creed revalations had one.
