halo.bungie.net is shutting down and it’d be a shame to lose all the history of heat maps, game results, etc.
You don’t even need to properly integrate it, just mirror it.

This isn’t going to happen. I’m pretty certain that the shutting down of halo.bungie.net immediately after it was announced that they are shutting down legacy servers is no coincidence. Neither company wants to spend the expenses of hosting dated content.
However you may want to google the Wayback Machine, it’s a website which is used to preserve other websites. You’ll find a lot of halo.bungie.net has been archived there.
Unfortunately, I cannot see it happening. If you would really like to preserve your old data, one way is to take screenshots. It’s what I will continue to do over the next week or so.

Any way to use WBM to download the data other than taking screenshots?

You can do this directly from halo.bungie.net by holding Ctrl and pressing S; At the prompt, create a new folder and name is something that makes sense for that page. Select ‘Webpage complete’ as the data type and click Save.
Sorry if this wasn’t what you were looking for.

No, that’s a good idea! Thanks.
Halowaypoint is a better site update than Halo.bungee.net and i havent any hope for see date uploading in this site
Some Reddit communities are try to archive as much of this as possible. r/Halo and r/DataHoarders have some good ideas.
There’s a program called httrack that lets you download sites. A lot of us have been doing it for our own service records. I also wrote a python script to download all the heatmaps for Halo 3 matches.
I’m just as sad to see this site to as you all… It’s a legacy of a golden era. Maybe it’s not financially worth keeping it alive, but I can’t imagine it requires so much work to keep running that they couldn’t integrate it into 343’s mission of making right by the community like they’ve been doing with MCC. I really wish they would include that in their stewardship over the franchise.
If Halo continues to be popular for the next 10 years, even longer, why not hang on to some of the best years of some of our lives? I’m sure 343 can hear those of us that care. Looking back at those service records tells a story. I love going back and seeing my page. Didn’t many of us have our own fire team? Or friends that every night would team up? The leader, the sniper, the driver, the well rounded one who you could always count on?
Yeah we can all just download our screenshots from file share, but our service records actually tells each of our stories from those days. And you can tell enough people want it if you go to the site, it crawls at times from the amount of people hitting it trying to back up as much of it as possible.
343, please take stewardship of Halo.bungie.net, just like you took on the games that brought that very data!

Yeah I took a lot. It’s just not the same. Man, getting old sucks. We have to watch all our favorite things die.

Thanks, I just grabbed httrack
I can’t believe 343i really wants to let all that ‘golden age of Halo’ player data disappear forever. Really sad to see Halo treated this way. I guess I just feel differently about it.

I feel the same. If there was a legacy stat page in mcc that would be awesome. You could see your stats over the years till current
I’d really change my perspective on 343 if they did this.

The stuff of dreams no doubt! Would be such a great nod to the original releases that warranted the creation of mcc in the first place, smh.
I just keep hoping 343 will start to mature in their decision-making & planning. I’m sure they could make a few calls to the right people to delay the legacy stat takedown to get the proper infrastructure in place to capture the database. Even if they sit on it for now, I think this massive dataset holds countless avenues for 343 to gain insight into player behavior from before they were Halo’s shepherd. Smh
