343 please fix MCC stability on Xbox One

I have been trying to have fun by playing MCC today but am currently very frustrated because my suspension keeps increasing due to game crashes. It seems the crashes only happen in Halo 3. I’ve played some Reach/4 matches and it never happened during these. But 3 times today my game has crashed while playing Halo 3 and my suspension keeps increasing (currently at half hour suspension). 343 you need to fix this game’s stability. It’s sad that the players get punished because you can’t get your game running properly. Why do I deserve increasing suspensions because my game keeps crashing?

I assume the issue is only with Halo 3 because my game has only crashed today while playing that. Which is incredibly unfortunate because Halo 3 is my favorite in the series.

Its the same on pc

I have had the same problem playing Halo 4. I did perform a “hard reset” on my Series X console, not had a problem since, but it could just be coincidence…

What do you mean? It works great.

Turn off the H3 skins if you are using them. Most seem to say that the H3 skins can cause random crashes.

That doesn’t prevent crashing. It only makes it less common.

I know this sounds inconvenient, but with turnin off the skins, i relaunch the game after every match. Aint the smoothest solution but its better than sittin out stacked ban times. Its cut down on the game crashing/freezing big time for me.

Less common enough I haven’t had one instance of a crash since turning them off.

Nice to know I’m not the only one… If I can even get in a game… Suddenly it’s been saying my ping times are too high. But any other game works just fine… Not sure :\

That may cause some of the crashes but not all of them. I remember crashing being a prevalent issue even before skins were released.

I appreciate the response but this doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident as noted by the other responses to this thread. So I highly doubt it’s just an issue with my game in particular. Also found other threads on the forums complaining about the same issue. Most say that the skins added to Halo 3 cause the crashes but I don’t know if there’s any concrete evidence to back that up. I’ve tried hard resetting and even uninstalling and reinstalling the MCC. Those options seem to be very temporary fixes.

Yeah I may just have to do that. Turning off the skins isn’t that big of a deal but having to restart after every other match will be a pain. Disappointing that 343 doesn’t care enough to fix these issues. I know it may seem unfair to say that about them but the game been out for 7 years. If it hasn’t been fixed yet then I doubt they ever will fix it.

All the more reason to report it and make sure that 343 are tracking the number of reports on this issue, that way they can start to prioritise

Don’t bother. I have an ongoing ticket for this 7-year-long problem. They’re never going to fix it.

Please don’t advise people not to file support tickets just because your issue hasn’t been addressed. Tickets are important to the teams to get a better overview of potential issues and help prioritize bug fixes, we should be encouraging more people to file tickets so that resources are more accurately focused.

It isn’t “my issue” that isn’t being addressed. It’s a universal issue that’s plagued the collection since launch in 2014. It isn’t like 343 Industries are oblivious to it.

Still doesn’t mean you should be telling people not to submit tickets. The more people you tell that to, the less might raise bugs and the knock on effect is that 343 ultimately don’t get sight of issues they should be looking into. If you want things to be investigated and prioritized for fixing, submit bugs. Have to remember that not every issue will be able to get fixed though, depending on the time it might take, available resources, impact on other features and fixes, etc.
