Why does my gameplay speed slow down after 4 or 5 games, and then I can’t seem to do anything right? There’s no consistency with the game speeds. Tonight, Arena Slayer crashed and when it came back up, it was super fast. Then, the subsequent games started to slow down. By the time I quit out of the last game due to sheer infuriation, I was moving like molasses running uphill in winter. Shots weren’t registering. Kills I should have gotten never happened. WTH, 343??? Do you WANT people to stop playing Halo altogether? Two nights ago, we were matched up with the same bunch of clowns for 3 games in a row. Somehow, these guys moved at super fast speeds and all of us were at their mercy. You call that Balanced matching??? FIX THIS INCONSISTENCY!!!
Sounds like something’s wrong with your end bud, try some general troubleshooting over at Xbox Support, may fix any problems you’re having. The dudes on the Xbox twitter support offer really good general troubleshooting too.
If i’ts the servers, you’ll get screen lag, followed maybe by a disconnect from the game. ‘Slowness’ is likely input lag, high latency or some other issue your end.
I get screen lag, too. That same game in Fathom, right at the beginning, I got screen lag. I went for the splinter nade on the ramp up to the doorway to the spawn room so I could shoot at anyone going for the railgun in lower mid. I was halfway up the ramp and I lagged back to ground level, so I never got the nade and I never got the kill in lower mid. What’s more, I was the one that got killed, along with my teammate, because I couldn’t even hit anyone with the lag not registering my shots. I do a complete shutdown nowadays after I finish playing and it seems to work for the first few games, and then everything just starts to drag again. I don’t think it’s on my end. I got 58 Mbps download, 60 Mbps upload, and 79 ms latency via Verizon FiOS. Also, the only thing I have on my Xbox are the MCC collection, Halo5, and Reach (which I am playing off the original disc, because I’m not going to pay another $25 to download a game I already own).
This issue also prevents me from ranking at Platinum each month after the reset. I just finally got to Platinum last night before the lag started happening. For 3 games right after I reached Platinum 1, my game just started lagging and we lost 3 games before I left the last game. I think I got 3 kills and 13 deaths before I left out of sheer infuriation. I didn’t want to start screaming at my screen at 1:15 in the morning. Hated to leave my fireteam, but I was hurting them more than I was helping.

I’ve never had all of these issues on my end playing a Halo game. Oh that’s right, cause I never cared to play Halo online, those other guys made the base game so much fun that having just three local players on one Xbox was enough fun for an entire weekend! Now I need Verizon Fios and Elite controllers and constant aim adjustment in order to stimulate a single charge of excitement out of my nerve endings. Oh, how technology is screwing us.
This sounds like an xbox problem, it could be overheating which will decrease your speed, make sure you have the fan unblocked and no dust is inside it.

How does this help out with the ops problem, hes talking about his games being slow after a few games not asking for your opinion on the game compared to the past ones

How does anything you say in this post going to help with his problem? Obviously the FAQs and Google searches will reveal how much of this is “his fault.” Don’t get lost in my opinion, please provide him with a detail note on how he can get his game up and running flawlessly, I’ll just get lost in the days when Halo was local, not loco. Sorry for providing my opinion when it wasn’t asked, won’t happen again Marine!
