343 Please dont reveal the new enemy

I really want this to be kept a secret so we are left in mystery of this new world…

Agreed.

I want loads of hints and clues, but nothing concrete. Keep it like a mystery novel, with the campaign being the final chapter in which all is revealed.

> Agreed.

Indeed.

Agreed. As Well.

Yes please.

But this begs the question what more from Campaign can be shown without veering into that territory? What can they throw at us at E3 to really wow us Campaign-wise? Fake Campaign leaks before Xmas (I think) suggested Battlefront-style 3-front war with land, sea and air battles taking place at once and all influencing each other. That would be… indescribably cool. A fantastic evolution of Halo’s sandbox level design.

A battle of this scale and playability, on Requiem, between UNSC forces and the Covenant, before the Forerunners make themselves known, would be very welcome indeed.

Fine, if you don’t want to see what the new Enemy is then that’s up to you but don’t ruin it for everyone else. Personally, I want to see what the new enemy is. I would be disappointed not to know what the new enemy is because of a few users on the internet.

No. They don’t have to say everything about it, but I want to at least know what they look like. Not going to buy something without knowing what I’m getting.

Foooo’ Sho’

Ehn, I’m pretty sure it’s not so new that book readers don’t have a few educated guesses. Forerunner stuff or ancient human stuff, is my guess. Maybe even some Precursor stuff?

Not seeing them would be nice, but I’m also one of those people that would rather there be as little information parceled out as possible.

> I want loads of hints and clues, but nothing concrete. Keep it like a mystery novel, with the campaign being the final chapter in which all is revealed.

Yes. Don’t tell us, but give us clues to help piece it together ourselves.

So just because you dont know what the new enemy looks like, you wouldnt buy it? Do you see how rediculous that is?

OP I agree, they shouldnt show us what it is, they should let us find out when we play the campaign.

I just don’t want Halo 4’s marketing campaign to show me everything ib the game like Reach :frowning:

> So just because you dont know what the new enemy looks like, you wouldnt buy it? Do you see how rediculous that is?

Pretty much. I’m not just going to blindly trust 343. I care about the story, but if they fail to get me interested in the story, why should I buy the game? Seriously, why shouldn’t we get to at least see the new enemy?

> No. They don’t have to say everything about it, but I want to at least know what they look like. Not going to buy something without knowing what I’m getting.

I at least am not saying “don’t show us any screenshots”. I just don’t want a post detailing that the new enemy is Precursors, and these are all the different types complete with nicknames, and these are their weapons and armour varieties, and this is which factions they’re fighting and why, et cetera. Hints =/= complete reveal.

Just show me a picture, maybe some new weapons and give a name and I’m fine.

There… there we have a problem.

No we don’t. You might think that is a problem, but a name wouldn’t hurt anything. All we’ll have is their appearance and name, not their motivations or who/what they work for.

i agree op

I say keep it a secrect like in halo ce… You knew about the covenant but once you get to the level 343gs your like WTF IS DIS!!!
