While looking at the leaks and photos of the Halo 5 weapons, I noticed that the Rocket Launcher has changed drastically.
In my opinion, the iconic rocket launcher skin looks much better than the new version. I’m sure EVERYONE in the halo community feels this way as well. Nothing was wrong with the look of it before, and it really needs to be chsnged back.
This is like changing the Assault Rifle to a more modern looking weapon. It just doesn’t feel like a UNSC weapon and belong in the halo universe.
I can’t say I’m necessarily traumatized by it. If I had a choice, i’d go with the original launcher. But if they choose not to do it, I’ll make my peace with it fairly quickly.
Yeah I just don’t like the new look at all. its looks to generic and something out of insert futuristic military war game here its that generic looking, this looks very un-Halo.
I don’t know what your “pro team” is telling you, but changing the weapon looks is just not a good idea 343i all your doing is just ticking people off.
I don’t think the iconic SPKNR rocket launcher we have grown to love has been entirely replaced. The new rocket launcher may just be a different weapon that serves the same role. It’s kinda like the re-skin of the Assault Rifle that Bungie did in Halo: Reach, it served the same purpose but it didn’t mean the original design was forever forgotten.

I don’t know why people keep bringing this up but whatever.
The reskin in Halo: Reach wasn’t just for funzies like the rocket launcher here, That was an older model AR that was based off a model in one of the books. AR’s didn’t always look like the Halo 1 models Contact Harvest through the Battle Of Reach pretty much had that older model AR in production.

Read the bulletin. It’s all but confirmed to be a replacement.

No it’s the replacement. 343i confirmed this. Hopefully they can atleast change it to make it the original, or just good looking and halo like in general.
