Yea fingers crossed over here as well, although I still have loads to spend just trying to get a Phaeton to get my final comms and I need the classic helmet pack as well so i guess I have other things to grind towards anyways. Still, it feels kind of lame that they are temporary at all.
I would only view these packs as nice bonus when grinding towards SR152 and nothing more than that.
For me, I have saved 82 Legendary XP boosts which will be used in order to make the initial stretch of SR151 feel a bit shorter. In addition to that, I do also have around 2.7 million leftover req points which are saved for future use.

Yea that’d be enough req to buy you over 500 matches of legendary XP boost for warzone if they bring those packs back. Should certainly be enough to carry you to the end.
Hopefully they’ll come back for players soon. It’s been a few months since they were last available.
They do cost 150k REQ points per pack so make sure you save plenty of points if y’all are grinding for 152. They certainly help.

That is incorrect as I do currently have approximately 20,000,000 xp remaining until I will reach SR152. If I spend all of my req points on the WZ XP Boost packs, it would result in a total collection of 442 Leg. WZ XP boosts (82 unused boosts are included). The total payout from these boosts if the xp payouts from the matches are included would only be sufficient for me to crush the 40,000,000 million xp mark with a small margin.

Would be nice if they gave us a schedule of packs that would be available - just like they do with playlists…

At this point I would just love to know if they are planning on having ANY sort of events this year. It will be sad if we go all of 2021 with just the standard playlist rotations, considering it is the 20th anniversary of the franchise.

Yea its the saddest part of how these games, and this game in particular have been retired. Too few events for closure and more just letting things fade away in a whimper. Doesnt feel right yo.
I would definitely like to see them return. Makes the grind so much easier.

Because if they didn’t no one would ever use reqs in WZFF/WZ to save for them.
people can buy packs from MS Store and can get MS store credit from MS rewards for free
I hope they revamp the whole system because this thread is reminding me why i hated the req, loot box and leveling system from H5. Hope Infinite gets it right

Yeah so far 343 hasnt really nailed the ranking system and how much exp you need. 4 was too easy and 5 is ridiculous. And mcc is impossible for the majority of players.

Pretty fair summary, here’s hoping Infinite get’s it just right.
I think this is the Halo with more difiiculty to reach 1 or 2 levels, it requires a lot of exp. It would be nice to have more exp boost events or exp packs

Or… alternatively… you could just play… Speaking from experience… I’ve been playing Halo 5 exclusively since the end of July and I’m two thirds of the way through 150. I can honestly tell you that I haven’t touched any legendary boosts (and I have over 140 of them). Yes I’ve used my mission victories, and my uncommons all the way up to my rares, but I have so many boosts up to this point that I haven’t needed to touch the legendary boosts yet. Playing mythic firefight is obviously the best way to go as the payout is much better than any other game mode, and even with the green boost (I think it’s uncommon), I hit anywhere from 13k to 16k depending on how I do and how far we get… will legendary boosts make it easier?? Absolutely!! But the reason they made the ranks the way they were is so that it would be a challenge and not something everyone and their brother would achieve. I know mythic gets irritating and boring after awhile, but you can always mix it up… play a warzone match, or dip into a couple social playlists (the featured ones are higher xp anyway), or, I like to take a break from the xbox for a bit after playing a few mythic matches just to break it up a little. Just takes a little perseverance, that’s all. I have faith that if you truly want to reach 152… you can do it!! Just takes a little patience and play time… that’s all…
