I know there are a lot of complaints about the BR and DMR disparity.
But please, whatever you do, do not buff to BR to appease BR lovers. They don’t realize that any kind of buff to the BR would make the rest of the starter weapons usesless. This game’s balance is very fragile and one little change could mess it all up.
The DMR seems to be the only weapon that is slightly OP. it isn’t easy to use but I think it’s kill times at all ranges are too fast. Anybody equivalent to a skill level of 40+ in Halo 3 is only going to use this starter weapon because they can dominate at all ranges.
I like how the light rifle had the fastest killyimes when scoped, because you have to be scoped and it’s a trade off for weaker hip fire damage.
However, the dmr kills faster than nearly all guns at all ranges and it doesnt require as much skill to use it in all situations as I thought.
Just please be careful with tuning this. It doesn’t need a debilitating nerf. Maybe just slightly decreasing its hip fire fire rate but increasing it back to normal standards when scoped.
