Being a Halo fan I try to follow as much of Halo’s lore and fiction as I can but one thing I’ve been unable to follow has been The Halo:Escalation comic books. Now having heard that 343 are continuing the HALO’4 story arc of the Janus key in Halo Escalation I would really like to see a synopsis or the store so far kind of follow up for those of us Fans (and even newbies) that love Halo’s lore but haven’t gotten to the comics yet. What I would love even more is if this happened via a lengthy cutscene like movie. Now I know it’s not long till the game comes out (but still to long to wait!) so adding it now wold be a be short notice but I wouldn’t even mind if it was episodic and released over the Halo channel Ala nightfall.

It’s a good idea but I don’t think it’ll happen.
This is a really great idea. I mean, I want to catch up on Escalation myself, but it’s hard for the to find all the comic’s I’ll need. I wouldn’t mind them doing it the same way MGS: Ground Zeroes had it’s Backstory option, with about 11 pages of dialogue detailing the past two MGS games.
Really hope this is considered. I don’t want to feel like I’m missing something crucial.
There needs to be a “story so far” optional cinematic or something in the menu or at the beginning of Halo 5. A in-game Codex like what Mass Effect has would be great as well considering how large the universe has grown.
They are already making some effort like w/ The Fall of Reach animated series, but they need something in there for people who only play the Halo games and do nothing else.

They need something far more substantial than that robotic voice synopsis that you got in the first mission of Halo 4.
