I’m just curious, who would I have to call to get a refund back from a broken beta that I paid for? I bought it online to download so therefor, Microsoft?? Please help. Thanks
Please don’t hate on me, I’ve been a Microsoft and Halo fan for over 10 years and I have been very patient with this broken beta release. It’s almost been a full week.
I think if you are a true Halo fan then you will give it a few more days as they have already shown progress and claim that they have identified the main source of the issue and are working to fix it. It has only been 4 days since the game launched. That being said you can not get a refund on a digital purchase which it states in the Terms of Service. That being said if you wanted to try to argue with them about it the number you need to call is 1-800-4-MYXBOX. I hope you give them a real chance to make it up to you.

Broken beta? I know what you mean just poor word choice. It’s a broken game that plays like a beta. If this was a beta all these problems would be ok
Still to this day, I go into matchmaking and I get split up from my friends. Still. Very annoying. I’m sure you will understand that back in the day, you played because it was competitive, it’s own class, but most importantly you got to play with your friends and spent hours on end playing. Now I “play” this and I spend 1 hour finding a game, just so there is uneven teams, and -Yoink!- deal with restarting the game just so I can join my friends again. This has been a waste of my time. 343 claims to fix issues but I’ve yet to see an official solution to a problem.
There has been obvious signs of improvement. I could understand if 343 released the game and just said there it is were not fixing anything but they are working hard to fix everything and have made a great deal of progress in an attempt to do so. If you give them a chance you will be reliving those memories soon. I know its frustrating. We are all frustrated. Nobody wants the hardest part of Halo to be getting in a game but that is just the situation we are in now. You also have to remember that Halo MCC uses Microsofts servers which is why on their official statement they said they are working with Microsoft to fix the problem so I wouldn’t put all of the blame on 343. 343 is blaming themselves however and has taken full responsibility of the failed launch. It sucks but they are 100% committed to fixing it as soon as possible. Just try to hang in there and we will all be playing the Halo we all love and remember really soon.

Exactly. Sorry if I sound stubborn or anything around that but a “game” works. You play a game in campaign, co op, and even matchmaking. I say beta because almost everything is broken. From matchmaking, campaign, leader boards, parties, all the way to the -Yoink!- useless achievements!!! To me, that’s what you experience in a beta so the company can fix its issues with the game before it hits the entire world. Just saying.
