Jackal Shield
What if on the map you could pick up a Jackal shield? I feel like this would be good for both competitive and warzone. The shield could be use with the multiple new Spartan abilities such as the shoulder charge for example, it would pose as a shield during the process and as a weapon. The shield would have an energy level just like the sword and could be use to protect yourself or your teammates especially during a CTF game.
Main ideas on how to implement this new weapon
-energy level like the energy sword. uses up energy when taking enemy fire. Will bust after a certain % of damage than recharge using its energy till the shields energy is depleted.
-can be held out in front of you “also while crouching to protect you and teammates from fire”
-can be used with the shoulder charge as describe above, and also with the ground pound for extra cover
-can be used as a stronger melee weapon but with no lunge like the sword
Maybe- implement the ability to throw the shield which would kill the opponent but if missed the weapon is now back on the battlefield for other Spartans to grab
I hate this for competitive. But I do like your creativity. Maybe works for Warzone.

You don’t think it would be a good competitive weapon like top mid of truth or something, could really change up the gameplay like having a sword does. I fell like it would more of a support power weapon, you grab it than move with your team and if anyone gets close wreck them!
try to imagine it in a 4v4 mode how it could sway the battle. Other wise help think of ways to balance it, I think it could really work.
Also I do agree it would be perfect for warzone, but I would really like to be running to a flag and pick up a shield on my way there, a power weapon that is a very risk reward system
I’ve been an advocate for this since Halo 3. Anyone that’s used a riot shield in MW2 would realize the potential of this.

Pretty decent idea. Would like to see how good it could be in CTF.
