343 needs to get rid of Infinity Slayer. It’s time to make Halo 4 a true Halo game rather than a game that looks like Halo, but plays more like Call of Duty/Quake/Unreal Tournament. Ordnance drops in a Halo game make no sense. Weapon layout should be like it always was. That also means no waypoints telling players where weapons are. Part of winning in real Halo games was weapon placement knowledge. You should get rewarded with rockets and overshield by killing your enemy and getting there first not by staying by your teammate and taking the last shot in all of his battles. Damage boost? Speed boost? No true Halo fan should even use these. You can actually use a speed boost then grab the flag. How lame. That’s some Quake/Unreal Tournament stuff right there. Kill cams in Halo? Really? Knowing where the sniper is who just killed you should be done by paying attention to the bullet path like it always was. Kill cam isn’t even accurate anyway so why have it? You can die 10x faster now which is straight CoD gameplay. Remember battling out for invis? Now all players can just spawn with it and use it any old time. It doesn’t make sense. Auto aim also needs a huge reduction as a sprinting spartan will completely take you off your one shot foe and leave you dead. Low rank hit box needs to be completely removed. Why is 343 helping players who aren’t any good? Commendations are a welcome non Halo aspect, but why have victory commendations for each gametype yet 7 out of 10 games one is placed on the losing team with not even a minute to go in the game? That’s cheap.
Playing team throwdown or pretty much any one of the objective gametypes solves most of your problems.
As for hitboxes/autoaim/magnetism. Eh, they don’t seem much worse than they have been in the previous Halos. I haven’t done a direct side by side comparison though, so feel free to prove me wrong on that.
play the other playlists but they need the old game mechanics like descope and no sprint
I don’t think theres anything wrong with most of the Halo multiplayer, there are problems but every game has those. They have to make changes to the multiplayer because as a game design company 343 has to try and make their games better and this can’t be acomplished by keeping everything how it was. If you miss how halo felt in Halo: Reach or Halo 3 then why not go play those games, there’s nothing wrong with that. The additions are there so people can experience a new multiplayer, not relive the old ones.
