Let me start off by saying that I think the maps so far in Halo 4 have been pretty good for the most part, definitely a big step up from the ones from Reach. However, the Crimson Map Pack was not what I or anybody I have talked to was really hoping for. My request is that 343 asks the fans what maps they would really like to see and try to make it happen, they have plenty of time. Personally, I would like to see a new Forge map similar to Sandbox. Now that we have maps that can play a variety of gametypes and are fairly versatile I think its time we got some maps specifically tailored to certain gametypes.
343i already has the two remaining map packs thought out and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already fully completed as we speak. Any opinions we have as fans can come true possibly in Halo 5 but NOT Halo 4.

Is there some unwritten rule that only 3 map pack releases for each game are available? I know there are achievement caps but why would it matter about the releases.

gears of war 3 did something similiar and it didn`t turn out so well
see whats happened was that instead of voting for the best maps they voted for horrible ones, Raven Down and escalation were 2 of the worst maps in GOW history and yet they remade them simply because people asked them to.
besides if you really want to play on the older maps simply play the remakes that were created through forge.
