343 needs to know how many people they’re disappointing with the lack of visible skill ranks. They act like they want to do things for the competitive community and this is the top thing on most of our lists. According to casual players, “It’s just a number next to your name and it has no effect.” Then what’s the problem? If it doesn’t affect the casual community negatively and it affects the competitive community in a positive way, then what’s the problem.
Simply “Thank” this post to show your disappointment.
EDIT*
“Please don’t thank farm.”
I’ve been on this forum since July 21, 2011. I have 93 posts… I don’t give a **** about my number of thanks. I’m just using it as a way people can “sign” their names. Why would anyone care about the number of “Thanks” they have? That’s a number that actually doesn’t matter.
And don’t get me wrong. Halo 4 looks amazing and I’m going to play it a ton. The visible skill rank is just something that will make it last longer for myself and a lot of the community.
I agree with you. But it’s not just a number next to your name. It is a sign of accomplishment. When ever you finally hit that 40 or 50 w/e number you are happy. Reach for example you just have to play x amount of games. Where is the fun in that?
343 Needs to know that what did with Halo 4 is absolutly Amazing. It will easily be one of the best Halo’s to date. I solute 343i for there blood, sweet, and tears they put in Halo 4

True, True
I love the game, but it get annoying after awhile.
I like to play to win the games. Especially when they are 4v4s
Is there a problem with asking people to thank your post? It’s like having people sign their name. The number of thanks I have is a number I don’t care about.

And what is stopping you from playing to win without the 1-50?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
I TRUST IN 343i and wht they have done so far with halo 4 is just mindblowing… I can’nt wait for November six i wish i could have a cryo chamber to pass this time but no i also don’t wana miss Forward Unto Dawn as well… Long Live Halo and Long Live the Master Chief and may 343i beat every record held by any game
I am a competative player but personally i never -Yoink!- that tru skill ranks was functional, in halo 3 it never showed true skill, people ranked a 40 deserved 50s, and atleast half of the people with 50s didnt deserve them. I even saw people with 30s beating the crap out of 50s, so how did that show true skill.
I personally liked reaches ranking system, because 90 percent of the people that played you could tell they put the time and effort to get their high rank via their comendations. for the other 10 percent you could tell via their comendations that they spent allot of their time credit farming. However even credit farming takes an awful long time to do. I tryed it once. after 30 minutes i got bored, and in the end, it didnt really benifit me any.
I love the new ranking system, haveing to get certain acheivements to unlock certain things, reach certain goals to unlock certain things. no you may not have that disfunctional number by your name like in halo 3, but you will be able to tell players with skills visually via their spartan and their acheivemnts.
Stop makeing threads whineing like 2 year olds. Grow up, get a full time job, buy a house get married and enjoy the good things in life. Life isnt worth complaining about video games thats for sure.
fyi, i no some of you will ask, I am 22 years old. I work for the state, I own my own home, i own 2 cars, and yes i am married. Go ahead and flame me, atleast i have a life. and a good one

Besides wins actually meaning something? Atleast they are adding join in progress.
Will your conviction about this particular issue prevent you from purchasing the game? If not, then you should consider either revising your post or not posting at all. If so, bravo and I wish you well my friend. Cheers…
