343 needs to have some of their devs sit down and write a multiplayer FAQ or record a state of the multiplayer video

Right now fans have many issues with the game, some of which I will list here:

  • People are unhappy with the progression system, everything from the fact that there is no XP reward for playing the game well, to the speed of progression, to the lack of a lifetime career progression system, to the fact that there are few cosmetic unlocks unique to people who play alot or play well aside from the Onyx cosmetics
  • People are unhappy with the monetization system, the pricing of the sets, the lack of a way to earn store credits in-game, the fact that they are selling Reach and Tenrai cosmetics instead of putting them into the Battlepasses, the weekly challenge system being designed to sell challenge swaps, etc.
  • People are unhappy with the low number of maps on release. 10 maps on release puts Infinite towards the bottom of the pack for the series.
  • People are unhappy with the low number of playlists currently, core game modes missing, and not all of those missing modes were addressed in yesterdays statements from 343
  • People are unhappy with the customization system; 343 described it as the most detailed customization system in the series, but it’s not, we have color combinations that have to be bought multiple times for different armor cores, we have the lack of an ability to mix and match parts from one armor core to another, the body type slider doesn’t resize armor pieces like it did in past games, which leaves us with poor options for creating a female spartan, free players get barely any customization options, and more issues besides
  • People are unhappy with the forced crossplay

Some of those areas 343 is communicating with the players on, namely progression and playlists, but they have been largely silent on the others. People need answers from the devs on all of these subjects, they need to know what lead to some of these controversial design decisions, they need to know what, if any, changes are being planned for each category, they need to know what sort of timeline to expect for those changes. Communication with the Playerbase on what is planned and coming in the future is key to staving off playerbase loss with so many fans unhappy with the game currently.

I would like to point out, that while we have a small number of map, almost evey one of them is better than most Reach, H4, and H5 maps.

I think this map pool could actually be the best launch map pool we’ve had yet from a “fun, balanced, unique” standpoint. (The big team maps sort of whiff on being unique, but sort of not at the same time. It’s odd)

Idk man even these base maps we have aren’t that good

See I personally don’t really love most of the new maps; they feel dry. They’re not bad, but they don’t stand out as cool like the classic great maps like Lockout, Zanzibar, Valhalla, Santrap, Ivory Tower, etc.

I don’t mind Recharge, and Streets is alright. Behemoth and Launch Site are also okay. But the BTB maps are really boring, with these specific preset tracks and really nowhere else to go. Creativity feels very limited. I miss the big open fields, the strange buildings and twisting pathways that left positioning unexpected.

I really hope to see a whole lot of remakes.

With the new forge, i think remakes won’t be a problem

Don’t forget…

  • People are unhappy that the radar is tiny and all but useless in this game
  • People are unhappy that there are no player collisions, especially with enemies
  • People are unhappy that vehicles are annoyingly fragile and their physics is very buggy and inconsistent (in addition to the fact that ground vehicles are easier to flip than in Halo: CE)
  • People are unhappy that the tick rate is so low, people get killed around corners all the time
  • People are unhappy that the AR can cross-map you almost as well as the BR
  • People are unhappy that custom games is incredibly broken and there’s been no confirmation that it will be fixed
  • People are unhappy that there are no grenade indicators or anything to distinguish friendly grenades (which don’t hurt you) from enemy grenades (which do)

That’s all a matter of opinion. Personally I don’t think any of the maps are any good much less better than some of the old ones. Collosium for example still stands as far and away the best 343 map. As for the big team maps 3 is nowhere near enough and they all suck!
Edit @WhoLikesChicken it wouldn’t quote for some reason.
