As we all know, right now, there’s massive discontent on the forums about some serious issues. Namely with a bunch of cut content and functionality.
But I think a lot of this stems from the simple fact that 343 is not doing a single thing to answer these grievances people have been having. The best we’ve been getting are Twitter responses and the occasional NeoGAF post it seems when it comes to all the things everyone is up in arms about. If we even get that. I feel this is just inacceptable and I feel there needs to be another Q&A done. Or a public announcement on Waypoint about all this. Or something. 343 ignoring this is not going to make it go away and, in fact, it will only get worse the more they ignore it until it all spills over into sales numbers.
And before I even HEAR that the people who have such a problem with all this are a minority, let me remind you that FORBES even said they were disappointed at the lack of split-screen. Forbes. There’s TWO massive threads purely devoted to 4 player splitscreen and 2 player splitscreen co-op and their removal. If all that does not convince you, then I don’t know what will.
People are incredibly dissatisfied and I seriously think we deserve at least some answers.
Well, there is currently a post asking for Warzone questions, but I do agree that 343 could be doing better with communicating with us about this game, as some divisive details have surfaced. Then again, we’re still months away from the game’s release, and there’s still RTX, Comic Con, and Gamescom where more info will likely be revealed.
343 communicates quite a bit, to me at least. Still getting interviews out from E3, The Sprint and Bulletins are excellent bits of developer insight…I just don’t see them as lacking in communication.

They are going to wait for a better place that builds more hype for the game than twitter before they announce some of the things the forum is asking.
343 has done more than enough, beta nearly 1 year before release and 5+ surveys. All we need is more arm chair developers suggesting more changes to Halo 5. Also 343 posted a response to the split screen complaints.
If you want your questions answered, you’ll have to head over to NeoGaf or Twitter. It would have been nice if more than one had been active here, but I don’t blame them for avoiding this place whenever possible.

Funny though. They’re asking for and answering all the questions except the ones that really matter right now. Heck even if they just a gave a passing, “Hey, we hear your complaints and we’re currently considering and working on them.” on the Bulletin, that would be something!

But the things were asking about are already confirmed information about cut things. We want clarification on them and we want to at least know WHY exactly these things can’t or won’t be in the game.
And the reason why I brought up Forbes is BECAUSE it’s a business magazine. A magazine that usually has no interest at all in gaming. If even THEY are saying something about it, yeah.

Why do you want a reason behind something being cut? Here “They didn’t want it or see a reason for it in their game”
Last I checked, and I may be wrong, but armor customization was not finally commented on other than before the beta.
You said it yourself. Forbes is a business magazine. It has no relevant…Anything to a game.

Massive discontent (your words, not mine) on the forums = not much discontent from the overall playerbase, so no big deal.
Also, 343 doesn’t have to communicate with us at all. So maybe we should just all be thankful for the communication we do get because they could always go the Bethesda route and pretend the game doesn’t exist until they announce it several months before release when all the “massive discontent” in the world would do absolutely nothing to change the game.
And btw, Forbes didn’t say that. It was someone contracted by Forbes that wrote a piece for their website. You will not find an article about Halo 5’s lack of splitscreen in an issue of Forbes. Not that it matters (because even if this were in Forbes magazine, so what?) but what you read was a glorified blog (ad revenue via clickbait). The same guy also wrote that Fallout 4 should remove V.A.T.S. So, yeah…
Also, it doesn’t get anymore transparent than the sprint.

Oh please OP, spare me.
343i has posted on the forums, posted on Team beyond, posts on reddit, posts on Neogaf, has interviews in game informer where they admit there was issues with Halo: MCC. They’ve done plenty of communicating. I find it laughable that right above your thread is a thread started today by Bravo. How embarrassing.
And Forbes, that’s a contributor article, AKA a random blogger. I could write an article about 343i communicating and it would get posted if it was spun in a negative way to get clicks.

Because we at least deserve that. We’re going without features now that have almost always been in Halo games. If you don’t care, that’s fine but some of us do.
And I don’t what’s going on with armor customization right now besides the fact that elites will not be playable.
Once again, you guys have overlooked what I said. Sure they’re communicating with us. But they’re saying everything except what we want to know about. Why is 4PSS cut? Why do they feel 60 FPS was such a good idea to base their entire engine around when 30 FPS was how it was always done and no one had a problem with it? Why do we not have playable elites when elites will be a highlight of this game? Why do they feel Warzone, which is not forgeable, offers 0 customization, can’t be played offline, and need Gold for, an acceptable replacement for Firefight? Why are they cutting more than they’re adding? Why did they reveal only a small slice of Campaign and one multiplayer mode, no matter how big it may be?

We actually don’t deserve anything. They could leave almost all the game as a suprise.
4 player split screen was probably cut because trying to render 4 different screens in 60 fps would degrade the game.
Wait…You also asked why not keep it at 30? Because then the forums would be aflame with people complaining about the lack of 60 fps.
They cut firefight and added warzone. Seems like a fair trade.
Warzone is meant to be played as a massive player vs player vs npc game mode. Thats kinda hard to play offline or in a custom. They have their reason for that too. And I am sure they will eventually let you know.

You’re speaking on behalf of the community there, which is very easy to do mistakenly but doesn’t make your point more relevant. I for one am perfectly content with the way 343i has been handling their communication with us. You’re also jumping the gun on some things like armor customization and warzone being firefight’s replacement. While 343i hasn’t spoken at length about these things, they may have a very detailed customization plan for spartans and a PVE mode we know nothing about. They can’t release all of their information all at once. It wouldn’t be a good business practice. They’re attempting to build hype for the game
Your complaint about a “small slice” of campaign is irrelevant because many people don’t want a large part of the campaign to be spoiled, as was the case with H4. So that “small slice” is a response to feedback.
“One multiplayer mode” is just wrong. They have revealed two versions of Warzone, Slayer, Breakout, and Strongholds. That’s five right of the top of my mind. I’m not sure if there have been more but you’re exaggerating when saying “one.”
In summary, I also want more info to be released, but that’s part of the wait for the game to release. Try to be patient is the only advise I have for you.

To many, myself included, 60 fps is a bare minimum and some get nauseous from 30 fps games. I’m not about to have a 30 fps vs 60 fps argument with you, but don’t tell me that no one had an issue with it being just 30 fps.
