I personally like the game a lot but there are a few things i just don’t understand.
1- why isn’t there clan support. every major 1st person shooter has some sort of clan support wether its COD or BF3. why didn’t 343 implement a way for people get groups together is just dumb. i doubt they will so that alone brings this game down a bit and makes it a bit unplayable because i hate searching the internet looking for groups of people who play this game instead of logging onto waypoint and finding a clan that recruiting.
2- this is a small detail i hate but i figure ill mention it. you can pick 3 colors for your emblem but only 2 for your armor. why couldn’t we have full customization by selecting the color of the suit that is under the armor plating and then a primary and secondary color for the armor plating. so you could have a red under suite with black and red armor plating. the armor coloring isn’t as customizable as i was expecting from a company that spent so much money making a short movie along with the game. like a is aid its a small detail i hate but i hate it all the same.
3- dedicated servers would have been nice. I’ve been in games before that stop to find a new host so often that i can get up and grab a beer, drink that beer, and get up to get another one before it finally figures out whats going on and starts up the game again.
4- spawning needs to be a lot more randomized. its not hard to figure out where the spawn points are on slayer (just go into forge and find them and remember where they are). small maps seem to be better at this than the large ones. on some of the large ones you can pretty much get spawn trapped all day. maybe make is so we can chose the spawn point after we die so we aren’t spawning in the same spot where we just died. its not a big enough problem to care about when playing with a good team but as stated above thats not so easily done without clan support.
maybe in HALO 5 they will implement this stuff. i also like how they said HALO may branch off into different genres as if that hasn’t already been done with HALO WARS.
All in all i like the game. the small details overlooked would be nice if they added them
