There should be a way to earn credits by playing. I know it’s only cosmetics but armour customisation is one of the key features and everything is behind a paywall. It doesn’t matter how many customisation slots there are if you can’t get any customisation options. It would also give players who can’t afford it the opportunity to get the premium pass.

No its not? Have ypu played any f2p games as of late? They all dish out premium currency, it keeps non paying players around with a grind and the hopes that theyll cave and spend to circumvent the grind.
Off the top of my head the big three are apex cod and fortnite
Apex in particular because they made about 4+ billion off of just skins alone, and they provide premium currency to their players

(EDIT: im also not purposing the cr be free, its only provided to players who either buy the battlepass or the campaign, freebies will still have free unlocks but players who opt to buy in actually get their money and times worth)
Yeah it’s free and out of over 60 free things, you get 40 challenge swaps, 3 backdrops, 4 visors, 5 armor coatings, 2 stances, 3 chests, 1 ai model and 1 colour, 2 shoulder pads, 2 helmet s, 2 helmet attachment and 1 thing for the wrist and you can’t use all cosmetics on all core, really nice

I agree, give us like 100 credits per cap a week or points to exchange with. Something we can accomplish while playing the game, I like the comments here on how Fortnite gives you credits/points which says something about generosity.
As a separate currency, with an even worse exchange value, sure. In an actual FTP game there should be as little overlap between what people who buy in can get and people who coast on FTP can get, otherwise the pass simply exists to expedite, you’re not actually buying anything you couldn’t eventually just grind out.
If the MP was a paid feature, or part of a full release, I think your proposal makes a lot more sense.

This is a MS owned franchise, free on GamePass, and if you are smart you can bank points with little effort.

I get what you are saying and I like it. But I believe they should add credits to the battle pass first. So you can get up to 200 credits free but 900-1000 credits for completing the paid battle pass. Multiple other games have this feature, Apex, Fortnite, COD, and even EA with Battlefield.
Doesn’t make sense to fork out $10 every month I’m a half for each battlepass season. Not a terrible struggle but given that’s going to be the way people get most of their customization… Just saying.
I don’t want want credits to be drip fed but I certainly agree there needs to be a way to earn credits since at the moment blocking content behind a paywall is literally killing my interest in playing infinite.
Until 343i sort this mess out I’m less likely to be playing Infinite as much as previous Halo games and play more MCC instead. I feel like 343i have let the fans down again and they need this sorted out but sadly don’t think they will despite the complaints. 
“Too difficult” isn’t a good reason not to do something. Especially when you have the budget 343 does. There DEFINITELY should be a way to earn credits in game outside of spending real money.

They made it seem like one was going to be free and one you had to pay for, which current model is $10 to even unlock the free ones, they need to take a look at mcc and do what they did there, you have the free season but the premium reward should only unlock when you buy the season pass. You should also be able to earn points to spend like in mcc, cause I bought the premium one $30 and it takes you to level 25, so when I get to 100 I should be able to save points for the next season, mcc was such a good model and they kinda pissed people off here
They need a premium currency for market cosmetics, and a credit system like in mcc for the season rewards, keep one free for all and the other you have to buy the pass, this way everyone gets rewards and the people who put money into the game get a little extra
Just no. They need to stop with this forced exclusive nonsense. What they need is a complete overhaul. Maybe let people who pay to boost again then let free players grind currency so they can buy the items with the in-game currency that they have saved up. I don’t see why free players should be punished for not wanting to waste £100’s on skins.

This already exists within the Xbox ecosystem. It’s called Microsoft Rewards.
I mean, yes I would love that, but here’s the problem. 343 is a group of human beings, human beings need money to buy houses and food and stuff. Now I know, the company’s not struggling or anything, but they have poured a lot of time into this, and nobody (and I mean nobody) is gonna pay for anything if you can earn credits by grinding. I know I wouldn’t, nor would any of the 20 other people I know who play Halo. Playing the game is fun, not work; you’re asking for credits for grinding like by grinding you’re doing something that benefits 343. All you’re doing is putting stress on their servers. If you don’t have things that you have to buy in the game, they won’t make any money.
We have 10$ per season on the battlepass AND 60$ for the campaign, the microtransaction storefront has no reason to exist outside of EA levels of greed.

The games not free, the multiplayer is free to play. Which I like that aspect of it, the thing I don’t like is that you have to pay to progress or even get some gear. Now I don’t mind if it’s like an armor set that is going to give you an edge, but it’s all cosmetics.

I was thinking the same thing… if 343 doesn’t fix their micro transaction battle pass then it’s going to be Battlefront all over again.
