I play halo 5, allot of it is fun, allot of it is terrible and broken. But 343 needs to abandon ship to FULLY prioritise halo 6. Stop putting in reqs, new weapons etc. Just stop. The major problems facing halo 5 can’t be fixed with a simple patch and halo 5’s population is incredibly low (for a halo game). These updates aren’t going to bring halo 5 to top spot ever, the population might have a slight spark for a couple days with each update but that’s all. A spark.
I want 343 to just abandon ship soon (after a few missing game modes are added). Adding in reqs is not going to solve the low population, we don’t need pizza skins. Just focus every shred of effort onto halo 6.
We don’t want halo 6 to have a barren broken launch like halo 5. We want it to be perfect. Halo 5 has hit its prime population in 2015, and it’s never going to go back to that. So just drop it. Halo 6 should be important.
2 years until halo 6 comes out, by now a large portion of the studio is shifting to halo 6, but right now Halo 5 is still prominent and people still play it. I think that halo 5 should stop getting DLC by december, a year of dlc is great, then attention should shift. Plus you haven’t even played Halo 5, the problems are apparent, yes. But halo 5 is a pretty solid game, there is more good then bad, but the bad parts are very glaring.
I’d already wager 343 are more focused on halo wars 2, a h3 anniversary (if they’re doing it), and h6 more so than h5. So I’d already say they’re looking ahead but you can’t just dump a game either lol. Much of h5s issues CAN be fixed, it’s a matter of 343 putting in the effort. You just piss of more of the fanbase by leaving another game you failed at (remember mcc?) as for the pop, I’ll play along, it may be small but there’s still enough to warrant post launch support, plus there’s no reason to piss of those who have chosen to continue playing the game and it then gives the guys who already left the impression that 343 would leave h6 if it too turns into a failure. So I strongly disagree on the need for 343 to abandon ship, they really NEED to stick with it.
Pretty sure that’s not how development works. Pretty sure the team currently working to sustain Halo 5 (composition, skillset, etc) is different from the team working on Halo 6 at this stage of its development (just like a different team is working on Halo Wars 2, and any other projects they’re working on). So…no.
I can’t tell if this a troll/bait post, or for real. I imagine there will be quarterly update till Halo 6 comes out. Most devs have a “live” team, meaning a small group of people are focused on adding updates to the current title. The rest of the studio is working on the next title release.
-Yoink- you haven’t even played h5, playing it at your buddies house for a night doesn’t count enough for you to formulate an opinion anyone here will take seriously sorry bud. Using a argument that you can’t back up with facts will also get you nowhere, cheers to another useless post.
343 is going to keep supporting the game whether you like it or not m8. Plus, LNG said in one of his videos that the people at 343 are aware of the mistakes they’ve made with H5 and they’re trying not to have the same thing happen for H6.

I’ll repeat myself, “They can do both.”

hmm where i heard that before?
I know precisely jack–Yoink- about coding, but still realize that the guys designing skins are in a separate area than those designing games modes and so on. The skins are stupid but also likely take no time at all. The idea that them doing those skins is in anyway taking away from H6’s potential is misguided.

kys…
The current players (whether you think there’s enough or not) are happy to have constant updates, new weapons/vehicles, maps and refreshes.
How did H5 have a broken launch? Or again is that your opinion of what should have available at launch?
I absolutely disagree. We are finally getting the DLC we were promised with new maps in Sept. After Sept I would prefer at least a couple more maps for Warzone. Then I will consider the game to be complete.
Nah, man. I’m diggin’ this free DLC.

343 is just doing the story elements of Halo Wars 2 everything else is given over to Creative.

Right. Different teams. All over the place.

I agree that we don’t need that many more reqs but insisting that 343 abandon a game that still needs updates and to be supported for a game that is presumably 2 years away is just insane
> 343 NEEDS TO ABANDON HALO 5
Wat
So, apparently, the best way to solve something’s issues is to abandon it and move on. Totally sound logic. 10/10.
